- Ryan B3 contributionsThe fantastic new tasting room finally takes advantage of the awesome views and matches the supurb wine and service. One of the best, if not the best, places to wine taste in the area. Highly recommend!!!Written 8 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Oliver5 contributionsI had the pleasure of visiting Domaine Serene recently for a wine tasting experience, and I must say it was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Melina, whose high-spirited and warm personality set a positive tone for our visit.
Our host, Celia, provided us with a memorable experience. She not only welcomed us to a surprising list of wonderful wines but also made it personal by sharing one of our favorite white wines with us. Celia struck the perfect balance between being educational about the wines and gauging our interest in specific details.
I must also mention Charles and Alex, who, like Melina and Celia, welcomed us warmly. It's clear that the people at Domaine Serene play a crucial role in making each visit special.
While the spectacular views are undoubtedly a draw, it's the wonderful people and their beautiful personalities that truly make Domaine Serene stand out. Their dedication and warmth are what keep us coming back. The wines are exceptional, but it's the people who are the heart and soul of Domaine Serene, and they are what make each visit a joyous experience.Written 22 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Kelly was our host and we loved the 2021 Reserve Chardonnay. It was wonderful listening to the history of this area. On a cold and rainy day, it was great to be inside a glass windowed tasing room. Loved the 2020 History Red Blend.Written 24 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Max RWhitefish, MT107 contributionsHad an afternoon tasting at Domaine Drouhin. We were promptly greeted at the reception area which had a check-in area and their wine shop. This area overlooks the inside tasting room and there is also ample outside seating in a covered (roof and clear vinyl sides) terrace area with heaters.
There are very nice views from the terrace of the surrounding vineyard and mountains.
Also outside and up the hill via a 1 minute walk is their Secret Garden which has a few of the original trees from the tree farm which used to grow here.
Mary was our host and we had a very enjoyable time conversing with Mary, sampling the wines and enjoying the pleasant tasting room atmosphere.
We would definitely come back.Written 20 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Our tasting was hosted by Robert outside overlooking the vineyard. Gorgeous! Robert was a incredible host. We learning the many nuances of their wine and wine in general from him. Our favorite wines are the 2021 Rose' of Pinot Noir and the 2018 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills. We loved the experience and wines so much we joined the Cellar Door Wine Club. We will be enjoying a "taste of Winter's Hill" throughout 2023 and beyond! The icing on the cake was the lovely personal note we received from the vineyard owner, Emily, when we arrived back in Arizona.Written 21 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cheryl K2 contributionsOver the years we have had some excellent tasting experiences and this one topped all of those. The setting is spectacular, and the service was outstanding. We were there on a weekday which allowed Elliot to spend more time with us and we had an opportunity to discuss wines, wine making and the other aspects of Durant (farm store, lodging). We hadn't intended to join another wine club but by the end of the tasting we decided to join. It was such an inviting experience, friendly atmosphere and lovely wine that we couldn't resist. I know it is a simple thing but they had a map that showed each vineyard and how they related to the wines we were drinking.Written 12 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NancySeattle, WA120 contributionsUntil my visit, I didn't realize this was the only olive mill in Oregon. I loved the olive oil tasting at the shop, and the olive oils and vinegars I have gifted have been really well received! I have also enjoyed different oils and vinegars - I have not had one that was not delicious!Written 18 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
