What travellers are saying
- JasonMcAlester, OK1 contributionGreat family spot! The whole gang enjoyed the experience. The staff was friendly, the atmosphere was inviting and the food was great! We had pizza, brats and pretzels. Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu whether beverage or food. I consider myself a root beer snob and they have some of the best I’ve had. Well rounded place.Written 8 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- safetyjob1McAlester, OK7 contributionsLove this place and the variety of local artist. The Indian art is top tier, the gallery is filled nicely with an array of different themes and types of art The Collection from Cindy Barr really stood outWritten 11 April 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - monroe736Virginia Beach, VA32 contributionsNice people work there. I had never been anywhere they tax you 50 cents on a hand of poker. Place was quiet.Written 3 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Aubree B45 contributionsI ate at this place a lot when it was located in Oklahoma City, and was very sad when it moved to McAlester. But, I had a 6 week job here and loved eating here! They are only open on Friday and Saturday, but it's worth it! My sister and I tried multiple things and everything was amazing and phenomenal. I can't have gluten and the cook was really nice and willing to prepare items slightly altered for me! I have loved the wine for years and now am addicted to their hard cider as well. They have a weekly special, but they always have sandwiches and salads on their menu. I've heard the brunch on Saturday is really good too, but I haven't tried that. Love this place!Written 10 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- David WTulsa, OK572 contributionsMy wife and I have travelled to wineries throughout and around the World. Some have been fantastic; some really good; some OK. The Country Estates Winery has a really nice look to it, is nicely appointed, and has very nice sitting areas both inside and outside. Our hostess was really nice, friendly, and accommodating. So, what is terrible about this winery? The wine. It is without a doubt the worst wine any in our party has ever tasted.Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Danny DTexas203 contributionsNice monument, well done, and worth seeing if you are passing through...BUTTT there is NO PARKING at the site. You have to park across the BUSY HIGHWAY and cross that BUSY HIGHWAY to get close to the monument. I suppose it was built with the idea that people would just look at it as they flew by on the highway...but I wanted to get a closer look...so yeah I parked and ran across the highway during a lull in traffic. I hope McAlester will put some parking spaces accessible from either side of the expressway to allow visitors a SAFER access to the monument.Written 20 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brynn N2 contributionsGreat Balls of Fire Family Entertainment Center is currently under new ownership and management! There are current major renovations underway, arcade games being repaired, food menus revamped and a whole new take on the bar and lounge. We are still booking private parties and bowling and will soon have a huge multi purpose room along with a catering menu for any occasion.Written 19 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
