The New Forest is such a beautiful place! The air is fresh and being amongst such large trees and impressive natural landmarks is such a blessing.

We saw such beautiful wildlife such as a family of barn owls. Not to mention the fantastic New Forest ponies! I would recommend a dusk walk in the summer time, the sometimes busy tourist locations are much quieter and you’re sure to see some lovely wildlife.

Lovely place for a walk. There is a path you can follow for buggies or you can roam around the countryside. Lot’s of ponies. Free parking. Lovely views and near shops for a cream tea afterwards.

Great spot for kids and has a dog friendly walk nearby so easy to make a few hours out of it. There is sufficient parking available and on the day we went the ice cream man turned up which was a bonus! It isn’t always open and often says it’s temporarily closed if you Google it however the Forestry England web page seems reliable, currently open now until 4th June and then again between 22nd July - 3rd September between 10:30 - 15:30. 3 or 4 staff on-site to answer questions and help spot the reptiles and a few picnic tables dotted around. There are also toilets on-site.

Love a nosey around this lovely antique shop, found on the corner at the traffic lights in Lyndhurst High Street. Enjoy coming in to reminisce of times passed and my childhood. There are alot of cabinets to look at full of jewellery including ornaments, china and cut glass on the shelves. Downstairs is my favourite place looking at the military medals and militaria.

We see St Michael & All Angels Church as we were walking up the hill and decided to investigate, and we were so pleased we did. What a fantastic history in this victorian church. Louis Carrols muse for Alice in Wonderland was a frequent attendee at the church having lived close by all of her life and being buried in the graveyard. They are currently reinstating the victorian wooden block flooring which is a major restoration job. It will look amazing when it’s completed.

This is an excellent place to start your holiday off! It gives a great whistle stop tour of new forest history.

There are many activities for children and interesting exhibits too. It’s easy to learn lots of fantastic facts about the local wildlife, wartime Britain, the origins of the new forest and much more!

There’s more to this inclosure once you walk around it, follow the path,, use the QR codes to access information bites and you’ll learn more about coppicing and hopefully see a buzzard and revel in the tranquility and admire the beautiful beeches.

Brilliant bike shop. We hired excellent spec gravel bikes for two days at a seriously good price (with easy booking process). Lovely warm staff at check out and check in and clearly very knowledgeable about bikes. Keen to help with route ideas, and provided locks, spare inner tubes, puncture repair kit and pump. Great shop/cafe adjacent, you have to try the pistachio cookies! We ate one and then the next day bought three to take home 😂 Thanks guys, you made our weekend! Katy @ Stu

Played here as part of a golf society (20 of us) made very welcome by all the staff and enjoyed Bacon/ sausage baps and endless coffee/ tea before a round of golf. We finished off with an excellent meal of sausage s,mash and peas and onions if required all served with a smile and cleared up quickly for our presentation- Thank you.
