What travellers are saying
- clare_f_londonSutton, UK62 contributionsWe travelled to the beach Saturday evening to walk the dogs… there were a few people around, some having picnics others enjoying the evening sunshine. We returned also in the morning as it was so lovely.
The beach is pebbly all along, in the morning there is a little sand by the shore
The current was quite strong so we were careful to keep the dogs on the shore side, but allowed them to get their paws wet.
Parking is easily available nearby at a pay and display car park.Written 24 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Had a nice lunch at the Royal Oak in the garden. Then walked round the village to see the Court house and St Mary's Church. Took the dog, he loved it. :)Written 7 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- HowloBuckingham, UK9,732 contributionsA lovely and well kept. On a extremely hot day it was nice to sit inside in a very cool nave. The grave yard is also well kept and tranquil. It was interesting to find some Commonwealth War Graves, some from WW1.Written 25 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EESW1Lincolnshire, UK5,530 contributionsThe church is is Westham, just outside the west gate of Pevensey Castle and Roman Fort, and is supposedly one of the first Norman Churches in England.
Today all that remains of the Norman church is the south wall with three small Norman windows. The rest of the church is later.
It is a lovely building made of flint and stone, with a massive squat tower.
Inside, it is a large and rather plain church, and probably too big for the present congregation. The north aisle now has tables for refreshments and the south transept is a ‘quiet room’. A wooden rood screen separates nave and chancel and the steps to the top of the rood can still be seen in the chancel arch.
Don’t miss the grave slab in the floor dated 1694.Written 7 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Facilities are limited offering a small shack with limited food and drink items perfect for a lunch which is also the front desk for the course. Hitting nets are available to warm up on as well as a small putting green.
Course was very well kept and the greens were a pleasant surprise to play on. Plenty of bunkers to gobble up any mishits.
As nice of a little course this is, it did leave me feeling a little underwhelmed due to how unchallenging it is. Suitable for those who just want an easy round.Written 19 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went with tapas and it was amazing, all our choices were amazing, and great value for money as well. Bar staff were very friendly and very attentive.
