It is a very good and vast lake on the way from Shillong airport to Shillong city. Not that great but unique. The systems are a bit developing stage. Tourists are visiting. There is a good resort nearby. Still there are teething issues. There is a long walking track along the sides of lake with tree houses in between. You get good breeze on these tree houses.

A beautiful place covered with fogs for the whole time we were there. That gave us a good calming feeling even when we could not see much.
Vast and green and when you walk some 100-200 mts away from the crowd, it’s really peaceful.
But yes the initial part sees a huge, boisterous, littering crowd especially on weekends.

This museum,I feel is one of the best sites in Shillong.Gives a detailed idea of the cultures and traditions of not only the different tribes of the Northeast, but also the adjoining countries,Skkim,Bhutan,Burma,Nepal and some part China also.
I loved the museum.I suggest though that you make sure you have enough time to really see it.We did it in an hour as we came close to the closing time.

This forest is sacred but at time of entry to this forest, you may feel, some one( lord LASAVA) is observing you , watching you . Just it's a matter of feeling, no scientific reason .

It was a rainy day. Excellent feeling, rain is falling, strong wind was blowing . we are walking through the road and entering Deep to deeper inside. Guide was telling untold stories.
    It's a Life time experience.

There are 3 different falls at this place. First one is easy. Next two will require you to climb some steps up and down. Though not slippery still watch out. All 3 waterfalls are of different kind.

Picturesque place within walking distance from Police Bazaar. Very well maintained. The only downside is too many people taking pictures of themselves for Instagram.

If you are put up in the PB area and don't have to worry about parking, come spend a few hours here.

The entry fees are very affordable for this huge lake view. The scenic view of this lake is mesmerising. The place is also very peaceful and you can just sit there and enjoy yourself.

At the height of about 1970 m above sea level, Shillong Peak is the highest point in Shillong. It offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire city, the Himalayas, its waterfalls as well as Bangladesh plains. A telescope is available for tourists to get a bird's eye view.
Trekking up to this semi-circular Shillong Peak is highly recommended , where you can relish some magnificent views of the entire city of Shillong .

The peak is also believed to be the abode of the deity that protects the city. The experience of being here is truly refreshing which makes it bag a spot among the most exciting places to visit in Shillong.

Best way to see the entire Shillong city from the top. A good place for photographers and to have a pleasant time. Only private vehicles are allowed as you need to pass through the air force area. No photography in the restricted area.

The architecture is fabulous. At the entrance of the Church, it will be difficult to comprehend the size of it. The moment reaching the first floor will be a shock to many of us. It is massive! Definitely worth visiting! Tip: Visit close to sunset.

While Police Bazar in Shillong reminded us of Paltan Bazar in Dehradun, the highlight was the lunch at Trattoria.. absolutely basic in its set up, with narrow benches and tables, the authentic Khasi food was delicious and mouth watering..give it a try, worth it

One of the oldest wooden churches with beautiful architecture. Its a must visit when in Shillong. Its in the heart of the city so you won'y miss it. Just check on the timmings before your visit. If you are someone who loves design & architecture do pay a visit you would love the symmetry and the way its built.
