Louisa Point is known to be one of the best viewpoints because of the stunning view it offers towards the rolling green valleys and the never-ending landscape. The view that we saw was breathtaking, and now it has become one of my favorite memories. A waterfall flowed down a side cliff, making the scenery even more beautiful.

Getting to the point itself was quite an adventure. The hiking trails had beautiful views, but there was also a horse-riding option that looked really interesting.

If you enjoy some level of adventure, the short hike to the point will surely add to the fun of the trip. Personally, the best part about the place was the cool, fresh air along with the quiet views.

One of the top spots on the itinerary.
Can be approached on foot, or horse back.
About one third of the road is in very poor shape with stones and dust and the last few meters are very very bad with big stones and is downhill. Horses also stop short of the last few meters which has to be approached on foot.
Walking time from the market is approximately 20-30 minutes and one needs to spend around 30-45 minutes at the lake.
The lake is appreciated from the bridge and is a good photography point. One has to be careful about the monkeys here too. There are games stalls and places to eat. There are a lot of benches on the bridge to sit.
There is a board which directs you to a waterfall which can be seen only during the monsoon season.
Lord's point is a few minutes walk from here and there is a very nice view from the point. Carry your own binoculars. If not then one can enjoy the far away sites through telescopes available there by paying Rs 100 per person.

Views are good, but i think the place needs to be fenced properly. The Road leading to the point is very primitive, even though the point is close to a heritage resort, some maintenance needs to be done.

This Point is a nice 2-3 km walk through the Matheran forest. If you choose to go on horse-back, its an even greater feeling. Red soil, green forest, no vehicles and chirping of birds on the way makes a super ride, even a super walk.

When in Matheran, do visit this Point. By itself, the Point doesn't have much to offer, but the walk or horse ride is super. Enjoy nature at its best en route.

The view from here is breathtaking. Please visit here. We can go here by walk from the parking site. Book horse ride only if you want , don't listen to the horse operators, they insist you to take horse ride by saying panorama point of far away and you cannot walk to it.Ultimate hiking place around 3.30kms from Aman Lodge Railway Station,
Don't miss the sunrise from this place.

Good place with spectacular mountain view, and not far from market. We are not very particular about points, but visited this point as it was close by to our hotel. The view of the mountain and valley is mesmerizing. But honestly there is no Echo in Echo point. So don't strain your vocal chords high if the mountains don't reply. However good point to click pics. Beware of the rocky path, and don't feed the monkeys, as they may come very close and get aggressive. Overall a good place,we wanted to see the Charlotte lake , but it was a bit away and we were tired. But if you can, do visit it.

This place is located in between the panvel and matheran region of Maharashtra. We had a sudden plan to outreach this place and were off to it! We had our bikes so it went pretty easy for us to get through to the base village. Once the trek started, there were rocks pouring on us at the midway. We held our nerves & reached the top.
The admiration at the top has its own fan base. A pretty good experience. Would love to visit here again. Would rate difficulty level as 3. Need to be alert every minute! We enjoyed to our fullest!

If you are staying overnight in Matheran, this point is worth going to before sunset. Watch the sun dip behind the mountains and paint everything golden. Its very beautiful.

One of the five best points of Matheran. This is close to the Lake Charlotte. Both points are important places. One can see Fort of Chhatrapati Shivaji through telescope. One should not miss this poin .

This point is really good in terms of variety. After visiting other points like Louiza point and One Tree Hill point, you will find its quite different from them.

Amazing view of the Dharvi river feeding water to Morbe Dam & the Sahyadri mountains in the backdrop. The recently built stepped pathway of the main road by the local authorities helps in reaching to this view point easier. Can be clubbed with the typical 7 points circuit ( Alexander Pt-Rambaug Pt-Little Chowk Pt-Big Chowk Pt-One Tree Hill Pt-Marjorie's Nook & Belvedere Pt ) - takes 3-4 hrs for this entire circuit of 6 Kms.

This is a point which one reaches while moving
From Dasturi Naka towards Matheran town.

The large Ganesha idol carved in the rocks here is quite imposing. Not too many shops here but one can stop by to enjoy a cup of chai
