- Lorraine LTarwin Lower, Australia3,581 contributionsThis is one of the most picturesque bays around the country. It had been recommended to us to visit here and we may have been a bit ho hum about it but on arrival we could fully appreciate why it is so popular.Written 1 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TrekStarsMelbourne, Australia203 contributionsThis is a great place to stop when driving to the Whitsundays. It's located right on the Bruce Hwy so is an easy detour.
It's fun to take photos with the big Mango and the tourist info centre is well worth a visit. There are a plethora of pamphlets, free tea/coffee, souvenirs for sale, as well as toilets. YOu can also buy a $6 cup of mango sorbet. Delicious!
The info centre staff were very friendly and helpful!
This would be 5* if there was a playground for the kids to burn off some energy after a long drive.Written 2 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But there’s toilets nearby, and plenty of walking tracks around if you don’t want to get onto the beach. The lookout is amazing well worth the effort to get up there.Written 2 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GS1505Queensland, Australia75 contributionsGreat spot to soak up the sun and to have a quick dip. There are a few rocks around and if possible go when the tide is higher. - vicki k19 contributionsOnly give 4 out 5. As no cafe which help or kiosk at least in busy times. Toilets block also. But overall stunning and just elderly people.Written 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- charlotteingham01Strathpine38 contributionsReally stunning scenery. From climbing through big rocks, amazing lookouts, beautiful coral beaches where you can snorkel straight off the beach, this is a must do at Bowen. We went from Horseshoe Bay, but you can join the track at other points along the way. The full circuit is great, just over 3kms long. For those who don't walk or can't do it all, it's definitely worth going to the first lookout from Horseshoe Bay. It's about a 10 min walk at the most. The view is incredible. The only downside was that in some of the more remote parts, around Murray Bay, the directions were a bit sketchy. We found our way, but you could say it was a bit of an adventure figuring it out 😁. Still, it's not possible to get too lost, it's just that the track is a bit unclear. Happy walking!Written 28 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Hmmmap13 contributionsTurned up without a booking after travel from Brisbane. The owner was out of Mangoes for their season. Took me and my daughter for a tour of the farm and picked mangoes for us on the day. Awesome tour and operator.
