Great little museum and well worth the stop to understand local history. The docents could be a little more helpful but everything was self explanatory.

It’s a short drive off main highway on a loop road to viewpoint. I think pictures would be better in afternoon sun. But none the less water & glaciers formed the huge deep canyon exposing a Cliff showing a timeline of volcanic activity at different periods over millions of years.

The last time we were at Downing provincial park was over 25 years ago. It has changes a little . It now been developed into more camping spot. Not as wide open as it used to be.

we just took a drive and walk around park.

It is still a nice place to visit .

Bugs were nasty this year! Yes it's a long drive down a non-paved road, but totally worth the drive. Love this campground. The lake is beautiful and excellent for paddle boarding. Campsites are great size and all facing water front have access. Bring lots of bug spray and bug zippers.

It is a lovely historic park close to the shops and highway so great for a picnic or rest stop when travelling through or visiting friendly Clinton. I remember when the park was being cleared in the 1960's and my father helped out when visiting his Uncle Reg and Aunt Effie Conn. I'm researching the life of my Grand Uncle Reg Conn who led a very colourful life ending with him being the Mayor of Clinton from 1963-1970 only stopping when he fell ill and passed on in 1971 at age 71. He was such a hardworking and adventurous person starting at age 15 when he joined the Canadian Army in WWI and served in combat at age 16 until they learned his real age but still made him an acting Sergeant back in England. What a colourful character. They should have a plaque at the park.

High drive on a so-so road - great air, full beautiful BC nature, the remains of a big forest fire, range cows, beaver dam and lodge
