    Fast Stop to Learn about Kitty Hawk
    This was a fast view when going through Kitty Hawk. One item to point out is that I gave it four stars because if you were only at Kitty Hawk one day and wanted to see everything around here, I wouldn't necessarily go here as it's a little out of the way and would take time away from other places I rank higher such as the Kitty Hawk Museum, Sand Dunes, and Lighthouse. Those are a lot better to spend time learning & seeing new sights. With that being said, I enjoyed this monument/area as it was educational, simple, and very artistically in a good way. Not the best place for kids as I suspect they would get bored relatively fast, but if you are there to read each pillar about the history of this area, then you'll really enjoy the time.

    Turtles, turtles, and more turtles
    This was a surprising gem. We visited on check-in day to pass some time. The smallish parking lot was only half full, so I wasn’t expecting much. The wooden path, though, is rich with natural beauty. The kids and adults alike enjoyed the 20+ turtles we saw on our walk. I was happy to see bat boxes along the way. There are several
    covered picnic areas throughout. This is a great, unexpected treasure in OBX and a joy for groups with young kids. Highly recommend!

    Good Church Away From Home
    I am working in the area after the storm and had the opportunity to attend services here. The priest is good and takes the time to explain the readings which I've never seen before. The congregation are friendly and made me feel at home. While it may not be the strict traditional Catholic service, it works for me as a visitor and it works for the parishioners

    Quite retreat.
    If you like to get away from the hustle and bustle on the Outer Banks from a while, this is a quiet stroll through as lovely area. Lots of flowers and wind blown trees.

    Clean and friendly!
    Spotlessly clean, well stocked with brochures and activities suggestions, and staffed by the absolute most informative and friendly people- we highly recommend this visitor center to anyone coming into the islands!

    Great Visitor Center for the Outer Banks folks !!
    This is a small place, but packs a mighty punch !! We were looking for some information on our trip to the Outer banks area. The people were friendly and the brochures were very helpful. Definitely stop by if you are in the area.

    B&B Antiques
    Its a very large shop with lots and lots of stuff to look at. But unfortunately they are on the pricy side so we did not buy anything. But they do have beautiful things.

    We’ll Be Back
    Reflexology and a Swedish massage were expertly done and made for a great ladies’ birthday out! Three of us went in for a spa day and they did a great job of getting all of us taken care of. The space was clean and inviting. The services were amazing. The technicians definitely knew their stuff. Highly recommend!

    Great yoga
    I came from France for vacation with my friends in the Outer Banks. I tried yoga for the first time with Karen as the instructor. That was great, very relaxing and that stretched out nicely my body after working out this week. I will come back, and I definitely recommend it to my French fellows too!

    The best country club in OBX
    This review is primarily for the swimming pool, however I have experienced the golf course and dining room. The pool is not mentioned on other reviews and yelp at one point refused to add it as a category. I see they deleted it again. The main club house is beautiful and newer. Signage is new and on the bypass road.

    The pool is around 800 feet or so from the club house. It has nice parking adequate for the size. The lot is well maintained. Using the facility is for members or their guest. I must say guest passes have been a pain. It's been a while since obtaining one.

    The pool over the years has been improved. There is a toddler splash pool that has a canopy. The main pool offers a diving board. It's not large enough for competition. Restrooms are off deck and very basic. Guards do a good job of maintaining it and are friendly. Typically two guards are on duty, one watches the main pool, then relieves the other on breaks.

    No outside food or drink is permitted other than bottle water. No glass. You can order from the dining room and the food is solid. Service has been slow when busy, so plan ahead.

    So now Duck Woods Country Club pool has got some much needed Yelp love. Check into a membership if you enjoy country club life. They also offer two upscale dining rooms, tennis and golf. The locker rooms are very nice and are in the main building.

    Laughed till we cried
    My group of 6 laughed till we cried at the comedy show. Tom Holaday and Joy Julian were amazing. I would definitely recommend this comedy show.

    Great bikes great service
    Bikes are in excellent condition and were waiting for us when we arrived. They gladly switched out a full size bike for a junior size for my daughter. Very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended

    Good clothing at great prices.
    My son and I bought some beach wear and towel's for our stay there. The place is nice and clean, the staff very helpful and polite and the prices were fair. Folk's if you need swim wear, t shirts or caps and anything else for during your stay, this is the place to shop.
