- Icarus4335Colorado Springs, CO806 contributionsNice enough park, lots of shady areas. There are several trails for hiking and you can check out the fish hatchery. I wish the trails were a little longer though.Written 19 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CharlieMeyer2020Tulsa, OK95 contributionsIf you’re looking for another low tech spot for kids (no video games), this is it. The website says staff are on hand 7-3:30 to help with the educational experience, but don’t count on it. Still, it’s a great place.
FYI-1)Bring plenty of quarters for the fish food bubble gum type vending machines. 2)Bring small cups for the fish food to lessen the chance of spilling while dispensing. 3)For some reason, there are no trash cans anywhere. 4)The different raceways hold fish from fingerlings to 4-5 year old trout. 4)Picnic tables are available and a 5)Kiosk with lots of info, but the kids really just want to feed the fish and follow them as they swim around in the raceways.Written 3 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Be sure to stop by for pumpkins, flowers and fun.Written 9 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Since when have breweries become so cheap that they can’t serve beer in traditional glass pints or mugs? Would you drink Dom Perignon out of a Dixie cup? Had you not skimped on the supplies, Cherry Wonderdog would have awarded you five stars.
Instead, I’ll discuss all the wonderful things about Lock 32 that earned it four. Location is sublime, right along the canal. We were inside away from the direct sun, but the sides were completely open to allow for anti-COVID and refreshing cross-ventilation. There were plenty of seating options by the bar and away in the corner. Unlike Fairport Brewery, this place was hopping. There was energy, joviality, life, and excitement. Oh, and the beer? Not bad at all! For just $3, Cherry Wonderdog could select a half pour. Session ale and Summer ale were the two that I chose on this visit, and both were cool, light, and delicious, in spite of the plastic cup!
Hope to return, but by then, I sure hope Lock 32 management does some serious introspection and takes all those plastic cups to the recycle bin.Written 9 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TonyJ85Ivyland, PA333 contributionsMy son and his family recently moved to Pittsford so we were visiting. My wife and I took our grandson to a program at the library where a local nonprofit brought rescue animals to show the kids. It was a great program which the kids loved. We wandered the library. It is one of the nicest libraries I've seen. There were two floors of books as well as a room for toddlers with stacks of picture books. They have a wall of computers to search the collections as well as smaller tablets with educational games for children. Headphone attached to keep down the noise. We picked up a card for his parents to fill out so he could get his own card. What a great resource for the community.Written 26 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Professor04Welland569 contributionsWe ventured off of busy Jefferson Road and were delighted to find this pretty spot. There are some shops and restaurants, and the pace is nicely low key and laid back. Good place to park the car and stroll along the canal side for a bit.Written 9 April 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cheryl M179 contributionsWe found this museum while searching for something to do on a snowy day in Rochester. We were the only 2 people on the Friday afternoon tour and our guide could not have been more welcoming and informative.
The tour took about 90 minutes and was a delightful trip down memory lane through collections of items such as china, Depression glass, cookie tins, toys, and so much more. The exhibits change seasonally.
This museum has only been open since the beginning of March. Many people may not know about it yet. I highly recommend a visit, even if you're not a collector yourself. A very enjoyable experience.Written 27 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
