- GeneseoSupremoGeneseo, NY728 contributionsEspecially in the fall, Ontario Orchards is amazing. The apples, cider, seasonal baked goods (the pumpkin bread was the best I’ve ever had) and other harvest veggies are top notch. The selection is huge and it’s not just veggies. I told the lady at the check out that I may just move to Oswego to be closer to that place!Written 19 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Lorin GSaint Louis, MO1,934 contributionsWe loved this place overlooking Lake Ontario. History truly comes alive with a visit to the fort. It is beautifully preserved, and a visitor can really get a feeling of what it was like to have lived in such a place and that time.Written 3 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- HistoryLuvUpstate NY75 contributionsThis small but comprehensive and well set up museum tells the story of 982 refugees from the Holocaust, "personal guests" of then-President Franklin Roosevelt, who were brought to Ft. Ontario in the small city of Oswego, New York in 1944. Many came from concentration camps. All were welcomed by the residents. This museum details their daily life and efforts to recover from years of living in fear. After the war the refugees were finally permitted to apply for citizenship. Those who lived in the emergency shelter, in this Safe Haven, went on to become doctors, lawyers, music composers, and others who benefited our society. This is a story that needs to be taught in our schools.Written 21 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- old45s201810 contributionsI've heard of the history of this track for many years, through a friend who has been attending since the '60s. I've been to the Classic several times since the '90s. The racing history, setting, and excitement of the open-wheel racing, with the engines mounted on the side, provides a unique, fast and on the edge of your seat entertainment. Camping is an added bonus. Though the weekend tickets may be considered expensive for a family. The camping element reduces the stress on the family entertainment budget.Written 27 September 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Grandma6BoysGreenwich, CT205 contributionsOur Grandson’s hockey team, UNE, had a tournament here... so we didn’t get to see much....but they have a gorgeous rink!!!!!! Even though the fire alarm went off and we had to go outside during the game.Written 11 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ginger B ROswego, NY248 contributionsThis is an impressive old house museum, run by a very passionate staff. Entering here, you not only get to see how the wealhty lived back in the day, but you learn some pretty fascinating stories. I'm from the area, so I feel a bit more connected to the history than others might, but I still think it is worth visiting, especially if you combine the visit with Fort Ontario, H Lee White or Safe haven. Check on the dates and hours...this is one of those places with limited open times.Written 17 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- KristaCharlottesville, VA6 contributionsIt's a real nice little scenic walk of the river. The walkway is well maintained and even when the river is extra high you still feel safe.Written 15 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SARK1 contributionBest part of the City has always been the lighthouse. The boat ride out was informative and fun. Beautiful day to be on the lake. Ed the boat captain. Very knowledgeable about the history of the area.Written 21 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tom NeelyOswego, NY1 contributionWe live in Oswego so we try to get there once a week or more my grand children are 3 and 5 years old and they love it. We usually spend about 2 hours there. This is enough time because we go so often. Some of the play spaces are based on the city, example we have a speedway here and there is a “racing car” that the children can put “tires on and off” fill the gas tank with “gas” and it is timed. The water table is great, it’s hard for me to explain so just come and see it. All the play areas are what I would call high end and the place is very clean and well maintained with great staff.Written 30 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Elizabeth MOswego, NY52 contributionsThe Oswego library is a great place to spend some time. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and they always know how to find the right material, which means they can always help. I cannot say enough about how pleasant it is to use their facilities.Written 12 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Robert RAnchorage, AK37 contributionsA lot of model railroad setup illustrating the history of Oswego. Been here a couple of times and still notice new things. This is inexpensive and educational and also kid friendly.Written 23 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Alan_Stamm_0Birmingham, Michigan, United States237 contributionsCentury old maps hang in wall frames. Be sure to see the stunningly restored basement level -- site of a former jail and now a law library and judicial offices, with exposed brick walls, graceful arches and visible stone-block foundation supports.Written 25 April 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Alison PWyomissing, PA594 contributionsThis is a very pretty park in the town - great place, when it is warmer, to sit and read a good book!Written 1 March 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- HamAndCheeseMeltDown1 contributionThe tour guide has a great personality! My wife and I go on walking tours all the time; this is by far one of the best! That being said, Oswego, NY has great history and awesome food.
The tour guide also does a haunted oswego tour. We got to experience this about a month after during the food and history tour; it was great!Written 6 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
