This is an excellent tour of Santiago Island. It stops at key highlights and includes a cooking experience where we were able to eat two local foods. The only thing to note is that the roads are quite windy, so come prepared if you are prone to car sickness.

Our group consisted of people who spoke French, Spanish, and English, so we had three separate guides who spoke each of those languages. As my friend and I were the only two who spoke English, it almost felt like a private tour with our guide. Ricardo was excellent. He showed us our route on the map throughout the journey, went out of his way to show us around, and made sure that we were comfortable. He walked us through a local market, ordered lunch on our behalf, and guided us to the beach at Tarrafal. The conversations in the car with him were very easy and his English is excellent. Thanks for a great day, Ricardo!

I highly recommend this tour for a comprehensive overview of Santiago's beautiful culture and nature.

Fantastic tour guide and fun friendly driver. The sights were really cool and the guide displayed much knowledge about the local culture, flora and fauna.

We had a lot of fun learning about the park and about Cabo Verde as a whole.

Tasty lunch provided for us and some awesome conversations :).

Edmilson has been very kind and careful in driving me around the Island stopping any time I asked for.
Also some places are not to miss on this day tour: Assomada, Tarrafal, Serra de Malagueta, Rabaledos village and all the glimpes of rural areas and people along the route.
Do not forget to take a look at Pico de Antonia silhouette on the way back to Praia when the sun is about to set.

Jairsan was an excellent guide around the island, speaking Portuguese, English & German to cater for the group of 7. The 3 Germans sitting outside at the back of the pick-up did lose out because of not hearing the conversation in the cab & got alot of sun & wind for sensitive European skin!

We saw how salt is extracted, Kite beach, Espargos, including the shanty town, Terra Boa, the 'Blue Eye', waded out to baby lemon sharks & floated in the salt lake at Pedro de Lume, with a quick local lunch.

Jairsan was a larger than life character, with loads of enthusiasm, passion for his country & information. Would definitely recommend & remember to take your swim suit for wading out to see lemon sharks & swimming in the salt lake - we weren't forewarned!

Me and my girlfriend we met Zenildo in Praia during our first day in Plateau. He proposed us several tours aroud Santiago and convinced us to take a full day tour by public bus. Next day he picked us up on time and we went to Sucupira "Bus station" in order to pick the colective to fowart to the intirior. About 40 min later we arrived at Luisa's house (a must see). Lyisa is so kind and she prepered a home made Kuskus to us. We really miss her fidjos as well. Then we continued to Assomada. Lukelly it was sutarday and we found the market opened. Our guide knew everyone and he is very knowledgeable explaning all types of vegetables we didnt knew. Next, we picked un other bus that took us to tarrafal beach passing though Serra Malagueta natural park. We enjoyd tge beautiful beach with No Stress vibe. After we picked the last bus that brought us back to Praia. We really recomend Zenildo, thank you for showing us your amazing island Like Locals!

Lovely tour that took us to the charming Omodos together with some wine tasting. Afterwards took us to Limassol's Old Town offering us a blend of unique shops and rich history. The Kourion ruins are absolutely breathtaking, with stunning views over the cliffs and sea. Our guide made the experience fun and engaging. Highly recommended tour!

My son and I booked the tour to Tarrafal and the concentration camp. It was a Tuesday, and perhaps since Saturday and Wednesday are more popular for visiting the Assomada market, we were the only ones on the tour. At the eco village Zenildo gave us a good overview of the islands, their history, flora and fauna. Assomada market was a bonus as I thought it was only open two days a week. There were plenty of stops along the way to take photos. We visited the concentration camp and then Tarrafal for lunch and the beach. It was an enjoyable trip along the east coast, including a stop the the lovers grotto to sample the local rum, and rum with ground peanuts. Zenildo is a great guide, who made the tour so much more enjoyable
