I love this state park and have been coming here for years, every summer. With beautiful views of Midtown Manhattan and the heart of the history of LIC behind it, a walk along the waterfront is wonderful during the summer months. My most recent visit was in July just after the fireworks. It was a hot summer day and the breeze along the promenade made it a memorable stop to just relax. The park is a must for anyone coming or living in Queens.

This smallish museum is full of beautiful sculptures of mostly stone. Works are arranged in several galleries on two floors and in an outdoor garden area. The outdoor garden is especially wonderful. There is a paved path but also benches. Take a bit of time to sit to listen and look. The garden does an amazing job of muting the city noise.
Inside there is an elevator, bathrooms and a gift shop. The shop has some beautiful, interesting and unique items. I just bought postcards. Photography is allowed within the museum. Don't touch the sculptures!
We made reservations online before our visit as recommended. Masks were required inside (thank you). There were several people there when we were, but it was not crowded at all. We drove and were able to park on the street just a block away.
Artwork is primarily by Isamu Noguchi but works by others are there too. As noted in another review read about the museum before you go for mare impact.
    Highly recommend.

Contemporary art is not for everyone. Good museum, good space, the art in it is so subjective that I only recommend this museum to open minded people who don't have much to do on a Saturday morning.

Stopped by for a couple of beers (Miles From Nowhere and Humming Dragon). They're both IPAs and very similar actually. Hazy with a good hop bite. The MFN may have a better hop but the Humming Dragon has a spice that's good. Pick your poison!

Great brewery in Long Island City.
The atmosphere is very cool and cozy.
The staff is friendly and can suggest to you which beer to try.
I have also noticed people coming in to buy six-packs of their beers to take away.

The LIC location of Rockaway Brewing was a pleasant surprise. There was plenty of seating when we went on Tuesday evening and we had a table where we played connect four. The brewery was dog friendly. The beer itself was good and they had a decent selection. I recommend making a visit here if you cannot get out to their flagship location.

Good atmosphere, good friends at The Cliffs at LIC which locates at 4404 21st St, Long Island City, NY and I love the food at Court Square Diner. You also can live in LIC Hotel for convenience.

I read raving reviews about the sculpture park but actually it was quite average. It only took 30mins max to slowly saunter the field.

Visiting the Secret Theatre made me feel like complete NYC insider! Getting there was easy, quick, comfortable and safe, but had an edgy, urban vibe. A quick 7 train ride from Grand Central Station, a 4 minute walk under the elevated tracks and we were there. The Secret is tucked away behind a tall, chain link fence and through what feels like a small loading dock. We saw an outstanding production of Macbeth in the intimate setting of a black box theater. We had refreshments during intermission, and found that the lobby area is pretty tight and can't accommodate many people, so most stayed in the theatre.

Walking back to the train we stopped at a little divey pub with a good kitchen that had a terrific beer selection for my husband, and poured me a lovely Sauvignon Blanc. It was such a great night!

The Secret theatre is also affordable. For little more than it costs to go to the movies we enjoyed a night of great professional theater, and a real New York experience. This is a secret worth sharing.

Memorial Day Weekend 2021, what a flop! The first "official" weekend of summer and it was cold, raining, just miserable. A friend and I had serious plans and of course they were ruined. I decided we should do some type of activity in the area. And came across BB. I instantly decided this would be it. Got there, found very helpful staff, it was crowded and us being novices didn't really enjoy (my friend less then I). But had fun anyway. And will be going back to take the lessons.

Overall a good indoor activity and fun!

This is a one of a kind. Places. Great for nostalgia buffs or people who like me to press buttons. A terrific collection of elevator parts that do work and from an era when the city was full of manned elevators. Loved the place and it is just different than any other museun

This is not a stand alone activity. I recommend doing it along with Museum of the Moving Image and some Astoria dining,

You should also know modern art is not my thing, and this place is super modern and experimental. My favorite part was the architecture, lighting, and shadows. Industrial like. Makes for some great and interesting photos.

It’s free, so you have nothing to lose! Staff is very nice. Large open space. I only spent about 20 minutes here, but one could spend longer pondering the art.

I first saw the tents when I was on a rooftop and wondered what it was. Back in town a year later, I finally got a chance to check it out. Based on what I saw on their website, it looks like the same vendors aren't at every event date. On this July 4th, we walked through; the flea vendors was in the middle while the food vendors surrounded them. From Muzzles, my fiance enjoyed the muzzlebag burger. It consisted of a German beef dumpling topped with caramelized onions in a pretzel bun and served with herb tossed ruffled/wavy/ridge chips. I opted for DOMI, cream puffs (profiteroles/choux pastry) filled with Asian flavors. While they had a 3 for $$ deal, I only got the black sesame and porky puff. The finished products became eye candy for myself and everyone around me as I walked back to my seat in the roped off area (where alcohol was served). The flavors were on point for both sweet and savory puffs. Each had a nice crunch to them and the sesame cream and pork filled every corner in the puffs. If we came across these vendors again at other locations, we'll definitely buy. Overall, it's only good for one visit. Once we finished our food, we left because the volume of the music was far too loud for the size of the venue.
