Neat and carpeted with lush green that helps bind a 'city soul" with nature. Trails have the freshness of vibrant trees and pristine ambiance. Lucifer falls invited us to take family photos. Iconic travel destination.

It's a lovely place to walk and to see the falls. There wasn't a lot of water coming over the falls when we were there but they were still impressive. We waked the trail up alongside the falls. It's a bit of an effort but well worth it for the views.

Beautiful campus! The undergrad campus feels like you stepped back in time- or are in Europe. The graduate side is modern and fresh and equally beautiful.

Two adults visited the Cornell Botanic Gardens on a Tuesday in mid-August and were thoroughly impressed especially with the Flower Garden area. There are several main gardens near the Nevin Welcome Center that are well maintained and a joy to walk through such as the Flower Garden, the Herb Garden, the Winter Garden and the Ground Cover Collection. There are others also. Our only disappointment was with the “Pocketsights” app for our cellphone with text and audio descriptions of some of the areas. Just not impressive nor very thorough. Parking costs $1.50 per hour for a maximum of three hours with the first hour free. We also visited the adjoining Cornell Newman Arboretum and would rate that at no more than 4 stars. Again, the “Pocketsights” app was disappointing plus there is very little signage in the arboretum to correspond to the app descriptions. Of course, the plants there were impressive and it is a large area to cover so we drove to various spots.

We staid outside of Ithaca over the 4th of July & wanted to see all that was available in this area. It is a little more reasonable priced than Seneca lake but offers much of the same amenities. Cayuga is the original wine trail. Too many wineries to mention, but also distillery, brewery & cider house along the way. Stewart park has kayak rentals & Cass park has swimming. Taughannock state park is a gem!!

It's an amazing transformation from the world above. So peaceful and cool on a hot summer day. The only sweat is the walk back up. At 77, I had to stop a couple of times.
Still oved it. and this is my second trip down. Afterwards reward yourself at the Collegetown Bagels.

Our daughters favorite hike- because around every corner there are more little waterfalls to see before getting to the end. Easy hike. Very pretty

Two adults visited Ithaca Falls in downtown Ithaca late on a Sunday in mid-August and enjoyed the scenery. There is free parking available across the street. The falls are partially visible on the bridge across from the parking lot. We also took the short fairly easy walk up the gorge trail to the base of the falls for better pictures. Pretty impressive falls for inside a city.

This farmers market has it all, delicious food, great coffee, hand made crafts, original art, & the freshest produce. And, the market is covered, so you can experience all it has to offer while staying dry in inclement weather.
It is located near the water & offers plenty of seating, so you may enjoy the beautiful surrounding views, as well.

This place is a lot of fun with both indoor exhibits, an outdoor play park and mini golf for an extra fee. We were there on a Saturday and it wasn’t super busy. While I wouldn’t go here with just adults, it’s also fun for adults. I’d recommend it for ages 1-12.

Walking through the woods was wonderful. So peaceful and at least a few birds at this time of year to keep your interest. Definitely recommend visiting for any bird enthusiast.

A husband and wife winery that is also a museum with either a guided or self guided tour. It’s obvious that they know what they’re doing and talking about. My wife and I enjoyed this place very much. Their wine was tasty and they went into detail on how it was made and where the grapes came from. We recommend.

A very informative journey from the Precambrian to the Quaternary. I really appreciated the tie-in to the local area. Also gave a good explanation of glaciers and how they formed the current landscape.

Came here as part of visiting Ithaca falls proper. Ithaca falls is fine and this bridge is a neat thing to see and a decent photo op, but there are so many better waterfalls and trails in the area. See Robert H. Treman Park for example. This one is a little easier to access than Lucifer falls, but still not as gorgeous. But worth a visit if you’re in the area.
