According to the map, the fall is 156-ft tall, a respectable height inside a city. The easy way to view it is at the lookout point on the Lake St. bridge although the view is somewhat obstructed by trees. A better way is to hike down to the Ithaca Falls Natural Area where you can get as close as you want to the waterfall. At the time we visited, free parking is available at the lot at the intersection of Lake and Falls St.

incredible hiking and views. even many locals don't know of this spot, or if they do they have not hiked it.
a large and ranging preserve this is NOT a flat hiking area but a sloped and hilly preserve.
Free, but somewhat limited parking. Look for the giants bathtub....!

This is truly a hidden gem. It is an unusal waterfall as it sits next to an abandoned pumping and power station giving it a surreal appearance. To get to it you can park at the Mulholland Wildflower Preserve across the street. Then head back towards Giles Street, cross the road, go over the bridge and find a trail that leads downhill.
