What travellers are saying
- Lindy PSeneca Falls, NY29 contributionsVisited this with my teen boys. The food options were plenty. The space felt like an open air market in a foreign country.Written 24 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- gotarheelsithaca,ny115 contributionsThis local institution has always remained true to its' roots...organic, eclectic, humanely + locally sourced.
Such a pleasure to have the new location that can add to those qualities the following:
-abundant and well-lit parking lot
-spacious shopping aisles
-beautifully displayed goods (especially the produce!)
-a large selection of bulk items
-an even larger selection of specialty items with knowledgeable staff to advise (vitamins/tinctures/cbd personal care/etc...)
It's a Gem!Written 17 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - John KBrooklyn, NY23 contributionsI stumbled upon this small gallery while out on a walk from my nearby hotel. Small, and full of splendid works by local artists. I bought 2, I was so smitten! Beautiful photographs that now hang in my Brooklyn apartment, A nice memento of a great visit to the Finger Lakes region.Written 19 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- checkted22Albany, NY3 contributionsThe work of Brian Keeler captures the beauty of life, those transcendent moments of a summer evening, fall afternoon, the bright awnings of an Ithaca shop. For anyone who loves the Ithaca, Finger Lakes, area it is full of memories ready to take home. I spent several hours reliving such moments as I looked at his work, beautiful in itself, and evocative beyond any photo in my albums.Written 17 August 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- jndlsdBrunswick, GA47 contributionsDidn't enjoy this art gallery. The workers there seemed to wish people wouldn't come in and bother them, while they where on their smart phones.Written 1 June 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- debrajeanLong Island, NY71 contributionsGreat store for Ithaca souvenirs and arts and crafts items. Save some time, there is alot to look at. The owner has a wonderful "eye" for unique items and offers them in her store reasonably priced. I ended up buying an "art pole" which has been a wonderful addition to my garden and is a fond rememberance of our beautiful time in Ithaca.Written 15 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JeaZasNew York City, NY99 contributionsWe visited Gourdlandia in mid-June 2021 as an impromptu outing. Graham was flexible and fit us into her morning schedule. We worked on the gourd night light. With some direction on the drilling bits, we quickly started designing our night lights - fun, relaxing and overall enjoyable family event. Graham's work is also truly masterful - we purchased the carved gourd boat with succulent plants and lovely lamp with designed gourd shade. We hope to try the gourd snow globe on our next visit. Make time to enjoy Gourdlandia to carve your own gourd creation with Graham!Written 19 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Melissa MNottingham, MD63 contributionsI love books. I love smelling old books and this place did not disappoint! Unlike most used book stores, this one is really well-organized. I found so many interesting books at cheap prices. Lots come from university students, so there are tons of absurdly specific books on obscure subjects (my favorites) as well as typical sci-fi stuff. No Twilight books here! The fiction section is pretty highbrow and full of classics.
If you're a sci-fi nerd, stop in at the upstairs Ten Forward café. It's full of Star Trek memoribilia and has games set up on the tables (chess, etc.). The biography section is along the outside walls (again, impressively organized). It's a welcoming, completely inclusive atmosphere full of eclectic, friendly people.
I probably spent a good five hours here and bought eleven books. I didn't even venture downstairs to the record collection! This store is a dream come true for nerdy intellectual bibliophiles and a great place for anyone else. Don't miss it!Written 5 June 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Glenn FMiddletown, NY404 contributionsNice place to stop in and check out for antiques and collectibles. Lots of stuff to see...very friendly staff. Will stop in again!Written 7 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Mary Beth LIthaca, NY7 contributionsHandwork is a must if you are visiting Ithaca. The items for sale are all handmade by local artists. The artists all work in the store so you can ask questions of the people who actually make these wonderful things. There is just so much to see, plan to spend a good hour or so in the store. You won't want to miss a thing.Written 14 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Robby G CToronto, Canada78,235 contributionsMost of the times I go to Ithaca, I stop at the Dewitt Mall. After all we are vegetarians and Moosewood restaurant offers great plates for us.
However, passing by the musical instruments store, I always stop there as well. It is so tempting. They have quite a lot of attractive instruments. Oh well!
Last time we were in Ithaca, my wife and I visited the Dewitt Mall completely. There are quite a lot of stores in there: specialty shops, hair dresser, galleries, a hardware store, a bookstore, carpets and clothes
Interestingly enough, this building is quite old, 101 years old! It's older than myself! Even though it is that old, it is still attractive with its ivy climbing everywhere. The trees nearby it, makes it gorgeous as well!
I felt at home visiting this mall! Quite worthwhile!Written 28 January 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - finfunOhio198 contributionsThere are always wonderful surprises in store here!! This time we found an amazing glass sculpture by Warner Whitfield and Beatriz Kelemen. We viewed his other offerings online at the store and ultimately bought Dancing on the Water's Edge, Blue Lagoon. The manager was so very helpful in contacting the artists and helping with the transaction. And we got a discount on shipping and a gift card as a thank you!Written 25 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Glenn FMiddletown, NY404 contributionsVery fun stop and friendly owner/staff...lots of stuff to look at and very reasonably priced antiques and collectibles. This will always be a stop for us when we are in the area!Written 7 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Arnold TIthaca, NY260 contributionsPaved parking lot, extremely large choice to choose from both domestic and imported, a area for growlers with maybe five choices, a return center, friendly staff , etc... If one wants to find a certain beer then this is the place to venture. Many returns in 2018 will be made for my beer runs and returns!Written 27 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
