Wildlife viewing was upfront and personal. Twice daily drives into the park and an afternoon boat ride provided great views of hippo, leopard and birdlife including beautiful kingfishers.

We did see a lot of wildlife here living in and loving nature. A definite must do. A great place to have a sundowner

Incredible game rich area and as you are on private concession, we had intimate one of one undisturbed viewing.

My husband and I just returned from a Safari planned by Ultimate African Safaris Inc. I can’t say enough good about the entire experience, from conception to return, plans went off without a hitch and it was not only what we wanted and dreamt it might be....it was more!

We are from Canada and Ultimate African Safaris is located in Washington. This proposed no problems whatsoever; communication was excellent and planning easy. It started with a phone interview from the owner, Ian, to get to know a little about us and our interests. We put the planning in his expert hands (along with his colleague, Lorna). Ultimate African Safari’s gave a proposal, we tweaked it a bit, they finalized the plans and we went from there. When you are planning a trip of a lifetime you need to trust who is doing the planning. We never gave it a second thought with this company. They know what they are doing and they demonstrate that every step of the way. They suggested the time of year we should go, best suited to our wants and budget. They suggested three tent camps via small plane. Each camp was unique and offered a somewhat different landscape that featured different wildlife. For example one camp we saw more elephants, one camp more cats, etc. The guides and hospitality at each camp was excellent.

Our experience with this trip was that it wasn’t a cookie cutter type trip; it was a personal adventure planned around our dream, no one else’s. Every journey tells a story, our Safari planned by Ultimate African Safaris Inc., tells many stories that will be remembered and told for many years to come!

The trip to the Ngwezi houseboat is best achieved via Sepopa which has a tar road to within 4 kms and is well sign posted. The alternative via Seronga is longer and takes more time. The trip by transfer boat to the houseboat down all the meanders of the Okavango is interesting and high speed and takes 90 minutes, seeing hippos and crocodiles and birds along the way. The boat itself is comfortable accommodation, if somewhat restricted in space and the food prepared by Excellence and the captain is to rave about and extraordinary for the limited facilities. They even baked a birthday cake for us. The meandering along the river seeing elephants, buffaloes and other game is relaxing and tranquil.
