What travellers are saying
- MHSV_MGLondon, UK314 contributionsVisiting the Vale do Alcantilado is a must. The place is very beautiful, offers several waterfalls and magnificent views. The walk to the top waterfall is around 1.5km long from the car park, with an altitude gain of some 250m. The trail is in good condition and well marked.Written 11 January 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- AlursRio de Janeiro, RJ17 contributionsGreat waterfalls. Worth a visit. You can drive close to the falls, but be ready to drive some muddy road with lots of stones and holesWritten 22 December 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lillhy2 contributionsWe discovered Rent A Horse on Visconde De Maua website. I contacted them by WhatsApp, the exchange were easy. We found the appointment place really easily, the guide was super. He didn't speak english but my little portuguese was sufficient to understand him. I really recommand that company to make tours in the région.Written 7 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dakar74320 contributionsPoço do Marimbondo comprises a couple of small, narrow waterfalls forming pools where one can swim in the middle of plush Atlantic Forest. The area can be accessed following the Vale do Pavão gravel road starting just a couple of kilometers before Maringá village; depending on the road conditions, it is advisable to park after driving 4-5 km and then walk to get to the short, steep trail going down the hill to the Poço (usually you will see many cars parked at the point when road conditions worsen). Although access may be difficult for some people, for example, with small children, the view of the beautiful Poço surrounded by the steep hills covered by rain forest is one of the most beautiful in the region.Written 31 December 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Arthur CalejonAnkara, Türkiye16 contributionsUnfortunately, this waterfalls are in a “private” propriety’s (inside a national reserve forest, that’s Brazil!) and the guy charge 45 Reais for entrance, a complete absurd!!! The national park is bigger and there’s a lot of attactions,, they charge less than . Also, very close there’s “toca da Raposa” waterfall, the family is charging 5 reais , more honest price. There’s a lot of better places around FOR FREE. Don’t support this people, are exploring a natural asset that belongs to everyone.Written 1 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
