What travellers are saying
- JoanFLFlorida12 contributionsWe visited late November 2023 and this was the highlight of our trip to Santa Fe. Samantha, our tour guide, was extremely knowledgeable and dedicated. We took a van to the top and could either climb down or take the van back down. What an incredible experience. We were so glad we picked this site over the National Park as this site is run by the Santa Clara tribe. Highly highly recommend. The tour was about 90 minutes.Written 2 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- t1g2Santa Fe, NM38 contributionsThis beautiful old home is a perfect as a small local museum. It has many rooms with a variety of exhibits. Who knew that Española's history was so colorful and significant? And currently there is an exhibit room with several costumes and props from the Santa Fe Opera - a real treat to see the detail and magic up close!Written 7 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pat JLincoln, NE19 contributionsWe spent part of a rainy afternoon here and it did not disappoint! We have teens and pre-teens and they enjoyed it.
Amazing staff that went out of their way to tell us about the animals and let us know when they would be feeding an animal next so we could see them up close. The staff seem to have a passion for what they do and the signs about each animal give you basic info on the animal and for most, a personal story of how they have ended up at the Wildlife Center.Written 17 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The Cottonwood forest along the Rio Grande is magical. Good signage, including a project on Queer History. The staff was passionate about the site and had good stories.Written 8 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert DCedar Park, TX87 contributionsMy partner and I did the MS 150 Bike tour a few years back and just loved this trail. This has got to be one of the nicest scenery trails we have ever ridden on. The people came out in some spots to offer the bike riders peaches, cherries, apples, etc..... We will be returning again for sure.Written 6 July 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- g8rslp01Zephyrhills, FL316 contributionsWe came from sea level in Florida and hiked this one! Over 2500 feet of elevation change is about 2.75 miles. It was a steep one for sure, but we LOVED the views at the top. We would have LOVED to continue on to Lake Peak, but weather was moving in quickly, and you don't mess around with Mother Nature. There were very few people on the trail. It was easy to follow.Written 18 July 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - NYTTCorrales, NM10 contributionsI have played at this course a half dozen times in the last 3 years, and I always find it fun and challenging to play. Currently (fall 2023) the course is in great shape, and the greens were very fast when we played there last week. As it is a three-hour round trip drive from my home to get to this course, it is not somewhere that I play often, but I try to take friends there who come in from out of town.
My only complaint about the course is that the last they require a credit card to reserve a tee time, and if you made a reservation for four and only show up with three, they WILL charge you for the missing golfer.
I get that they are trying to keep people from making reservations and not showing at all. However, in our case, I made the reservation for four, and for perfectly reasonable reasons, one of my friends had to bail and not make the trip from Albuquerque. Three of us showed up and had a great time playing golf that day, but when I checked my credit card account several days later I saw that they had charged it a second time for the "missing golfer".
It would have been more understandable if the golf course would have been really crowded that morning and they would have been able to "sell" that slot, but as it was, there were very few people on the course that morning. In fact nobody teed off during the tee times directly ahead of us or behind us. The fact that there were three of us rather than four did not prevent them from selling anybody else a round of golf that morning.
I am not saying that the course management tried to hide this policy that they have, and when I complained about the charge after the fact their response was that I should have called them 24 hours ahead, and there would not have been a charge. In our case we did not know 24 hours ahead that one of our group would not show up. Since I made the reservation, my card got charged.
I don't know about the rest of you, but this is the first time that this kind of charge has ever been levied on me. I would say that next time I will know better, but for me there will not be a next time at this course. I would call this a loss for me as well Black Mesa.Written 24 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jeweber02Louisville, KY116 contributionsWe had a wonderful time on this ride. Karen, the owner, and her daughter took us out for a wonderful ride. Their dogs accompanied us and provided a great deal of drama when they got involved with a coyote! Fortunately, Karen (a true cowgirl!) ran off the coyote and our ride continued without incident. The scenery is beautiful, the ride fun, and the horses are great. It makes it extra special to know the horses are rescue animals. Great time all around!Written 4 August 2012This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Pat JLincoln, NE19 contributionsWe stopped here to look at rocks and were wowed by the variety of choices and the owners! They had so much knowledge to share and showed us all sorts of rocks. Lots of local artisan work and if you make jewelry, there were all sorts of stones and polished gems options.
We left with purchases and way more information than we expected.
Great experience and a stop is suggested if you or your family members are interested in rocks and stones.Written 17 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
