Southern Goteborg Archipelago Gothenburg, Sweden
We visited Brännö, the ferry crossing was very pleasant and then the trek around the island was fantastic, the views are amazing and there is a point on this island where you can see right across the Archipelago.
Always with a better weather out here than ashore, these islands offer a swim, a snack (some few places), neat houses and paths for the sights.
Sandgrund Lars Lerin Karlstad, Sweden
Nice and cosy cafe with a view of the waterside, all in all well worth a visit.
Liseberg amusement park Gothenburg, Sweden
The big wheel gives you a fantastic view over the city, some great little stalls n with the city card the free entrance was all that was needed as most the rides were close, however there's still plenty to do.
It is a very large site, quite a lot of it a theme park with all the crazy adventure rides, but come Xmas it morphs into a winter wonderland with all the trees festooned with thousands of lights.
Lacko Slott Lidkoping, Sweden
It is beautiful and offers fantastic views.
There is a cafe on site and the drinks and especially the cakes were lovely.
Tjoloholms Castle Fjaras, Sweden
One of few places in Gothenburg area where you can view and experience history.
We did not visit the house this visit as it was rather busy being Easter weekend, hope to view another time, but we walked the costal path and visited the bird hide, wish he had our binoculars with us though!
Masthuggskyrkan Gothenburg, Sweden
The church building itself is architecturally interesting and sits high on a hill, with some granite outcrops amid a lawn area that would be wonderful for a picnic or just a place to hang out and view the city.
Started in 1914, the church is located on a high hill which gives commanding views of Goteborg, especially Goteborg harbor.
Haga Gothenburg, Sweden
From Haga it's also easy to walk up the hill to the old fortress from where you can enjoy an excellent view of the city.
Make sure you climb the hill to the fort for amazing views of the rest of the city.
Bohus Fastning Kungalv, Sweden
... spend there 2-3 hours, if you want to visit all the parts, read all the panels (there could be more of them) or just take a rest while looking over the countryside (there is a marvelous view from the fortress).
Bohus Fortress is a spectacular and very interesting historical site.
Marbacka Minnesgard Sunne, Sweden
The views are wonderful, there is an excellent cafe, small shop with beautiful and quality goods, place for children to learn and play, etc.
Fish Church Gothenburg, Sweden
If you fancy real good Swedish seafood then visit any of the restaurants inside this landmark in the city.
Lots of shoppers here and two restaurants and a cafe on site doing a brisk business.
