I had the very good idea to try tek diving with Bali Dive Trek in Amed and it was super great in all aspects.
I was willing to do a 50m dive on the drop off in sidemount configuration and I could rent a brand new Hollis BCD just perfect for carrying my 2x11,1L tanks air + 1x5,5L tank N50% + 1x5,5L tank Oxygen, all fitted with brand new Apex regs.
Sidemount BCD Xdeep were also available as well as scooters, rebreathers ... Gaz are blended in the shop, so you just choose what you prefer ...I never saw a dive shop so clean, modern and so well equipped in Asia so far ...
On the first day I dove with Antoine the boss and the dive planification (with GF 50/65) was really comprehensive, I learned a lot from it.
During the whole dive (10'@50m + 10'@40m) Antoine was actually observing me and gave me lots of good tips to improve further my tanks cross fixing and breathing. We met Barracuda, dog tooth tuna, napoleon ... cool
The second dive I did it with Stefan, a friendly tec instructor in Batu Niti. It was really cool again to dive with an experienced tec diver.
Thank you guys, you rock. See you again, if not next week, the following one !
PS : The resort itself is also great with a pool
