- Reingding13465 contributionsWe loved stopping by the flamingo exhibit while walking up and down the strip. It was our only reason to go through the Flamingo and we’re glad we did. - Michelle B2 contributionsThe pool was beautiful. I would recommend going M-F Late afternoon. There were plenty of free lounge chairs available in the direct sunlight. Bring a hat if you plan on sunbathing for any length of time. Pack and bring SPF 50 sunscreen. The waves are generated every 1-2 minutes and do not change in size or frequency. This wave pool is large. There is a small beach shop available within the pool area, along with a bar and cafe. Food simple. A touch overpriced, your on vacation. I did not eat. The menus are posted. You might "want" an inner tube for the lazy river. There is an air filling station if needed. If you bring your own. It is not necessary to buy an expensive tube. Find a smaller one and cheaper. If you do not have an inner tube, not to worry as you can enjoy the lazy river without a tube. If you are a swimmer, I would bring your goggles and have fun trying to swim against the current for a bit. This was a great workout and a lot of fun. There is a pool. Seemed a bit crowded, but doable, lots of people to mingle with. The employees seemed a bit drained from the sun. I would like to see the hotel provide better accommodations for them. Not fair to criticize, they are sitting in the hot sun making sure people are safe. Have patience. - ChewbaccabraSeattle, WA5 contributionsWent there on a Saturday and again on a Monday. We had a poolside daybed both days. We spent most of our time in the pool so the daybed wasn't necessary. The crowd was about 5 times larger on Saturday than Monday. There was a live DJ playing music that was completely detached from the crowd on Saturday. On Monday, there was piped in music that seemed a better fit. There isn't a good food selection available. The waitress service is good. The crowd is mostly couples 40+. There were a couple of larger groups. There were only a couple of creepy single guys. Closed the pool at 5 which was crazy because it was so hot!.., No limit on the amount of towels. He assigned my level and gave me some great tips and techniques that I took back home and continue to work on. Drinks are ridiculously over priced at this time of year - $16 for a small bottle of beer and around $22 for a small spirit woth mixer or cocktail. - Jess M41 contributionsThe pool was okay. It was a place to cool off from the heat but it was difficult to find shade and the water was a bit filmy, probably from people's sunscreen. - Marybeth F3 contributionsWay too few lounge chairs for the number of rooms in this hotel. Then of course they try and sell you the cabana along with the minimum drink fee.
