We decided to rent Pedego bikes and see what it was like to bike around the Lake Las Vegas area. At the Lake Las Vegas store, Steve was very helpful with information about the bikes and getting us in touch with Jordan the owner since we had an unusual request.
Jordan was a huge help in accommodating us for the days that we were most available. He even took time to meet us at the store on a day that they were closed. This was a big deal to us and spoke to his commitment to customer service.
We had a great time riding. I had no idea the amount of trails available around here - many of them paved - and the scenery is just beautiful. We went into Lake Mead, we did the Galleria trail (both the straight one, wetlands, and the rollercoaster in the desert one) and we still had so many more to check out.
At home, we've ridden road bikes for years, but my limit is 30 miles and that depends on the hills. I would never make it through the Lake Mead ups and downs ! With a Pedego bike, I can decide where to put my energy (using assist for big hills etc) and stay out as long as I want.
Went back to the Lake Las Vegas store and talked to Kaleen and she knows EVERYTHING about places to ride around Vegas. What a resource! Needless to say, we ended up buying bikes! Just too many places we want to see and I know this will become a regular part of our time here.
If you haven't tried a pedego - and you want to explore - I couldn't recommend it enough. Jordan and his staff at the LLV store and the Henderson store have been great.
