- JasonMoncton, Canada45 contributionsRed Rock Canyon and the Conservation Area are one of the most beautiful places I've ever experienced. Coming from Eastern Canada, the terrain is completely foreign to me and stunning. I was there twice in my one week trip, during the day driving the loop and visiting the tourist center and once during sunrise as the sun broke the desert horizon and bathed the mountains in it's morning glow.
Definitely worth experiencing if you are visiting Vegas and love the outdoors!Written 8 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. In fact after all the walking I wasn't up to seeing the Nevada Museum. I am sorry I missed it, but my explorations took time and energy. I especially liked seeing the botanical gardens, butterfly display, and solar house. The waterworks, located by Boomtown was interesting but bland. Boomtown was a re-creation and only one house was available to tour. The "businesses" were open. So, a person who has not seen this type of display can spend more than a little time checking it out. The tram picks up from Boomtown every half hour or so. It saves time and energy. But, if you have plenty of energy there are trails to hike and explore.Written 26 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Viorica66 contributionsNice set up by Flamingo hotel, with a few flamingos, fish, turtles and ducks. It’s not big, it’s not fancy, but it’s a good place to walk through and see something else besides casinos. There are good places to take pictures with beautiful backgrounds. Keep in mind it’s not a zoo so don’t have high hopes. It’s a 5 minutes visit.Written 28 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HappyJanaLas Vegas, NV977 contributionsA nice refuge from the city. I have probably said that in a previous review of the Clark County Wetlands, but it is such a nice place to go for a stroll- bring bug spray!Written 15 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Raylynmarie1 contributionMy mom, my siblings and I were looking around for a reasonable place to see animals and stuff and we came across this beautiful place on the internet and it looked really cool , especially from reading all the reviews. As soon as we walked in the sanctuary it was nothing but absolutely amazing. The kids had a wonderful time. And they of course enjoyed the animals. There was seven of us kids from the ages of 3 months old to 21 yrs old, including my mom definitely enjoyed ourselves. And the weather was perfect and There's picnic areas where you can take your food in and just have the chickens running around you. Just absolutely amazing !!! HIGHLY RECCOMEDEDWritten 25 March 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TravelingSoccerLoonSaint Paul, MN7,524 contributionsThe Calico Hills section offers some of the most stunning scenery in Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. You will arrive in this section not long after starting the 13-mile one way road through the area. The vibrant colors of the rock formations are really beautiful. The best way to experience is to take the Calico Tanks Trail. However, this is a moderately strenuous hike with some rock scrambling in parts and some elevation change but the rewards were very much worth the effort. Make sure you have hiking shoes and bring a hat and plenty of water. I would also start as early as possible in the morning to avoid the mid-day sun. There is no shade on the hike.Written 18 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Ally E1 contributionAmerican Campground Las Vegas has made major improvements. The property manager Bonnie has made it her personal mission to clean up the park and has done an amazing job. No longer dirty looking, the drug heads are no longer an issue and the customer service and quick response to issues is a 10 now. I've lived here for almost 4 years and have watched it go from a dump to a place we enjoy living.. thanks American campground.Written 7 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
