- JasonMoncton, Canada45 contributionsRed Rock Canyon and the Conservation Area are one of the most beautiful places I've ever experienced. Coming from Eastern Canada, the terrain is completely foreign to me and stunning. I was there twice in my one week trip, during the day driving the loop and visiting the tourist center and once during sunrise as the sun broke the desert horizon and bathed the mountains in it's morning glow.
Definitely worth experiencing if you are visiting Vegas and love the outdoors!Written 8 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. You will arrive in this section not long after starting the 13-mile one way road through the area. The vibrant colors of the rock formations are really beautiful. The best way to experience is to take the Calico Tanks Trail. However, this is a moderately strenuous hike with some rock scrambling in parts and some elevation change but the rewards were very much worth the effort. Make sure you have hiking shoes and bring a hat and plenty of water. I would also start as early as possible in the morning to avoid the mid-day sun. There is no shade on the hike.Written 18 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DLPNew Jersey3,976 contributionsThe visitor center staff was so engaging and were enthusiastic to share their knowledge and information. Inside was a typical visitor center….bathrooms, gift shop, and some information boards & displays. Outside was the tortoise sanctuary which is really worth your time, plus some beautiful gardens along the walkways. Aside from the sanctuary, you must also see the panoramic view from this location.Written 19 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - DLPNew Jersey3,976 contributionsI was just going through my pictures and had to write a review because the red rock canyon overlook is just stunning and beautiful. The red rock backdrop is just gorgeous against the clear skies of the area. This is the part of Vegas that people should want to see!Written 5 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Yellow VSpringville, UT186 contributionsThis is THE place to go if you like bouldering or rock scrambling. It has a huge number and variety of boulders to climb on. It also has access to hiking trails and great views of the red rock. There are always lots of climbers and hikers here so be courteous to each other. Make sure you park in the designated parking areas. It is also easy to access the Red Springs Picnic Area and the Red Rock Canyon Scenic loop.Written 10 February 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
