- tony s1 contributionI was in town for a conference, staying at the Venetian. I booked a deep tissue massage at Canyon Ranch. I dined at the cafe at the spa. They left out items I ordered. Manager was no help.
I was confused by the front desk. Gratuity optional. up front?! I opted out, hadnt been massaged yet. The spa was huge, long hallways. The spa in the mens room was tiny. My spa at home is larger. More than 2 men in there at a time and we would be touching. DIdnt expect that. It looked like a larger spa used to fit in this area. The mens room staff were good and the areas were clean and well stocked.
I must give a great review for my massage therapist Danny. He was exceptional. He really targeted my painful areas and made me feel great. He was skilled, professional and very effective. He changed my blah experience into a favorable one. Kudos to Danny for changing my experience at Canyon Ranch, and leaving me with a much better impression. First we had a manicure and Pedicure appointment so we thought we would go early and enjoy the spa.We assumed (wrongly) that because we were having services done at the Grand Spa we could use the facilities at the Spa.That wasn't happening and also their hot tub was out of order.

- Leah M3 contributionsGreat massage- I had the neck back and shoulders massage with DJ he was great!!!!! Definitely would recommend him he has been a message technician for over 30 years.
Amenities- I enjoyed my favorite are all the pools and the steam room it will really challenge you. I have worked out at gold level clubs, at onyx level clubs (next step up from gold, and the level of my home club), and at diamond level clubs. I see a significant difference in the typical facilities and amenities between gold and onyx level clubs, but not between the onyx and diamond levels. I understand, however, that the increased charges for club membership between onyx and diamond are quite substantial.
All of the Lifetime clubs I have visited are great - with facilities that are superior to the other fitness club chains I have visited. I maintain my membership because the other chains do not - IMHO - offer the same quality and caliber of amenities that Lifetime does. The massage itself was great and certainly worth the money alone. I had Cindi who was chatty and friendly. I was more than happy to talk to her during the 50 minute treatment that went so quickly and would recommend her.
However I do think I would rather pay extra for a spa with additional facilities. The hot tub was outside and looked a little miserable. Inside there was only a steam room, sauna, showers and a 'relaxation room' which was a room with sofas and a few magazines. There was water tea and a few pieces of fruit available too. On the nervous system, with the help of the special exercises that the stunning instructor will guide you through, you will reach a perfect balance in the nervous system, on your brain, mind. deeper sleep, and complete relaxation. And also if you just feel like want a reset to everything that's happening outside. I really know nothing about climbing, but this place seems to have a great variety and awesome for training. My daughter is a natural and went up within minutes on the 5.7 routes. - Traci A1 contributionBe very careful entering into an agreement with this company. Although I never signed an extended contract, and was only month to month, when I attempted to cancel, they told me I had to come in in person. I explained that my car was in the shop and could not physically get there. I was then told I could send a letter to the location to cancel. However, my upcoming payment was due soon and I told them I was concerned the letter would not reach them in time and could I please email them my cancellation. Multiple representatives refused to provide me with an email address. There are also no email addresses available online. When I was finally able to get there in person, two days before my renewal payment was due, they agreed to cancel my membership, but stated they would still charge me for the following month, because I did not cancel a week before the payment was due. I explained again that I’ve been trying for over a week to cancel, and was refused the opportunity to do so in a reasonable fashion. I mean, what kind of global franchise doesn’t correspond by email in 2023?
They clearly practice intentional and manipulative business practices so they can make it as difficult as possible to cancel your membership. We were visiting from Germany and my eleven year old daughter who is an avid dancer wanted to take a couple of classes on the ring and silks and she absolutely loved it. The staff was extremely nice and accommodating. We then mentioned that she has been working on aerial cartwheels but just can't get them. One of the owners Russell told us he could arrange a private class with Vanessa one of the instructors. My daughter had a class with her and it was so helpful and Chiara came back to Germany with almost her aerials. ( Vanessa wrote down a personalised program for her and even followed up with her via whats app ) . - fernandez sNewcastle upon Tyne, UK99 contributionsDragon’s lair gym is hardcore. Most of the clientele there were “Jacked “!!! Not necessarily a bad thing. Good equipment, size of the gym disappointed me. Good gym training atmosphere. Pro shop sold plenty of clothing and prepackaged healthy meals. I’ve never seen that in a gym. A lot of their gear is overpriced ( $100.00 for a tank top)
Nice location although a bit far from the strip ( 15min by car) membership a bit pricey as well.
