We stayed at the Best Western Hotel. The River Walk is right out the back door. It was quite refreshing to walk along the Missouri River, on a hot evening, and watch the boats. We saw numerous birds and squirrels. We saw white Pelicans, which is always a treat. Don’t miss this trail if you are in Great Falls. The trail is paved the whole way.

Great course! Very well cared for. Our family had a good time. Holes are challenging yet not too challenging. Everyone can play.

The GFHS Class of 1968 held our 50th year reunion here just last Friday and Saturday. They did a beautiful job setting up our Friday night BBQ down in the Grill Room and out onto the patio area. We also rented a large canopy outside for overflow. It was a beautiful setting and the food was great. We had around 175 attendees and all went smoothly. The following night we held the dinner buffet up in the dining room as well as the In Memorian, a silent and a live auction. Once again the food was excellent and everything went very smoothly. Special kudos to our catering liason from the CC, Sharlys Burnett, who helped us throughout our entire planning period which was about a year and a half long! Couldn't have a a better location nor event. Everyone had a great time and I heard no negative comments.

Mike and I went out this AM for a round of 18 holes. This can be a challenging course, especially for someone like me who only golfs about once a year. Fortunately, I only had a couple bad tee-off holes and a putting disaster on one hole. Very relaxing, non-rushed time. Weather was crisp and clear early. Tee boxes and fairways were watered, green and perfect length grass. Greens were nicely cut but a little slow early as there was quite a bit of dew and water on them. As things dried out, they became a bit faster. Definitely some challenging pin placements.

    Very enjoyable morning!

We rented 3 rafts from Montana River Outfitters for a 4 day float on the Smith River. They delivered the rafts and picked them up making the trip as easy as it could possibly be. They were loaded with storage boxes and coolers (with ice if requested). Rafts were great and in good condition. Staff was helpful and nice. Price was very reasonable. I will use them again in the future. Highly recommended!

My son's treated me to a Father's Day present and we were guided by Big Timber Fly Fishing in a float down the Yellowstone River in the Paradise Valley, just outside of Yellowstone Park. It was a beautiful day and the fish were biting. Our guides showed us the way including a barbecue lunch (primium steak) around noon on the river shore.

We caught several fish, many more than was expected. We were serve by professional guides, knowledgeable of the river with Excellence by Big Timber Fly Fishing. Give them a try the next time you're in Montana.

Also, you might try the Lazy J motel in Big Timber for great accommodations at a real economical rate.
