- Wanda HMascoutah, IL271 contributionsHouse is in good shape, with historically correct decorations and furnishings. Docents are knowledgeable and accommodating. - JMCSTLSaint Louis, MO6,001 contributionsMy wife & I returned to the Florissant Civic Center on Sunday afternoon, to see the final performance by the Alpha Players of "Into The Woods." This is a Stephen Sondheim adaptation of a book that mixes several famous Brothers Grimm fantasy characters into a single story line. The singing voices of Amanda Kocher (Cinderella), Julie Labeau (The Baker's Wife) and Sarah Gene Dowling (the Witch) were particularly good, but the entire cast sang & acted their parts extremely well. The sets were simple but functional to help connect the audience with the various scenes. The orchestra played very well in accompaniment, and the show was thought-provoking as well as emotional. Another "Bravo!" performance by the Alpha Players, with a well-deserved standing ovation from the audience.Written 15 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wanda HMascoutah, IL271 contributionsThey're still in the middle of restoring it, but the docents there have TONS of information about the house, the family, and the area. If you're into history, this is a must see.Written 2 July 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- dorsalmoFlorissant, MO1,121 contributionsNice course in every way except prices are a bit high and they don't have a driving range. Not sure if there is a place to get food either. Went here for my son's 16th birthday. Used a Groupon (unfortunately, there was no 9-hole version, so we wasted half of it because my son didn't want to golf 18 holes).Written 28 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
