Also, there is a tour boat operated by the Park Service departing from Gulfport daily to Ship Island beach and visitors can swim, walk the wooden catwalk about the island or visit the old Civil War era Ft Massachu...

This beach park is the PERFECT adjunct to our wonderful walking bridge to Biloxi (thank you Mayor Connie).

This is an awesome park and conservation area and good for birders the only issue is the Mayor of Biloxi Shane Maxwell is trying to convince the Goverment to develop this property… Overalll the facility is awesome
Having said that, it is conveniently located so that for me as a resident on the outskirts of Ocean Springs, I can get here in 5 minutes if I want some quiet time in nature.
Deer Island Biloxi 5.2 km away
