What travellers are saying
- Dr R M Thapa SyangjaPutalibazar, Nepal435 contributionsThe colours are amazing. The night sky is full of stars. Morning and evening colours are undescribably adorable. Mid morning and afternoon azure sky is something to behold. What more can I say?Written 12 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Professional Freelancer Trek guide-NepalPokhara, Nepal396 contributionsMachapuchare means Fishtail mountain. It is only one holy mountain in Nepal. Its hight is 6993m. I highly recommand to do trekking of Near Fishtail like as Mardi himal trek, Machapuchare model trek, and Annapurna base camp trek.Written 26 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Pavel_MatejicekPrague, Czech Republic20 contributionsThis trek is newly opened and it is possible to do only with guide presence, but is worth visiting.
Trek starts from Koto and route begins in narrow valley with several bridges. It is possible to walk up to Meta during one day. Then following day, on your way to Naar is nice place to visit Yunkar Gompa. Naar is very old village with unique athmosphere like from old times. If you would not have an aclimatization day in Phu, is reccomended to stay one more day here. There are several small monasteries to see and from small hill above the village is nice view at Kangaru Himal and Pisang Peak. After leaving Naar we stay at Khangla Phedi in our own tent for night and early morning we started to walk to Kangla Bhanjyang (5306m). Climb was very difficult due to a lot of snow there, no visible trace from previous groups and we could follow only marking bars. But scenery view from pass is wonderful. On opposite side of pass, descent is quite steep but after you go beyond it then descent is easy up to village Nawal.
I can really reccomend this part of Annapurna area for those who wanted to visit old Tibetian villages and enjoy treks without a crowds.Written 13 June 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Everything was perfectly organized, we got all information before the trip and awesome support on the trip from our guide and porters. Our guide Ajay knew every trail, the best tea houses, had superb MTB riding skills, helped with bike repairs, answered all our questions. I usually organize trips by myself, but this was great for me as I needed to spend less time on logistics and more on the experience. I can only recommend MTB Worldwide for making my dream came true smoothly.Written 30 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Chele <> Jhaite
Jhaite <> Tsarang

The elevation is at the lowest, 2,800 meters whereas the highest is 3,650 meters.
I will only write few stand outs about Upper Mustang.
You can take transportation on in vehicles fitted with internal combustible engine for much of this trip. Walking is much fun though. Also, many fit people might prefer road transportation.
You have Annapurna mountain range to your south. That is something we found peculiar as much of humanity is conditioned to the idea that Himalayan range is always to one's North.
The suspension bridge to Ghyakar is featured in many films and photographic collection around the world. Outstanding beauty over the deep gorge.
Chungsi Cave are formed by the strong winds that chiseled away loose sediments from the rock face over millenniums. It is stunning.
Trekking permit is dearer compared to permit fees for other places in Nepal.
The stones, rocks, mountains have hues of gray, red, orange and other shades you have not seen anywhere else.Written 13 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
