- Kristen Shoup LGrand Rapids, MI2 contributionsMy husband and I took the Wine and Chocolate tasting boat tour on a beautiful Saturday in October. Not quite sure what to expect, we a little nervous about what was in store for the experience. We had a delightful time! It was the two of us, and two other groups of four people. Everyone was friendly. The tasting began with a dry red wine and a piece of dark chocolate. We were told to sip-bite-sip, which we did, and it was amazing how different the wine tasted after a small nibble of the dark chocolate! This process was repeated four more times, ending with late-harvest riesling and a sea-salt chocolate covered caramel. Yum! Then we were allowed to choose our favorite wine and enjoy a full glass. After docking, we were given the option to taste two more wines. Plus we got to keep our wine-tasting glasses as souvenirs. - Roger TFreeland, MI47 contributionsI went to the park with my granddaughter. We had a great experience. Reservations were simple. Check in and safety training was done well by the staff. The fun and adventure at the Frankenmuth Arial Park were wonderful. I highly recommend this fun outdoor adventure opportunity, go, and make some memories. - OldfashionpreacherCamden, OH29 contributionsAlthough I am sure this ride is a great one anytime, we took a half hour ride in the evening on a Saturday night. It was a great way to see parts of the town that you don’t normally see. Talking with our guide gave us lots of information about locale food and things to do. I wish we had done it the first night as the information would have been helpful at the start of our trip. Operated by a local, this trolley tour exceeded our expectations. We learned about the indigenous peoples, and the Lutheran founders of Frankenmuth, and visited several mine sites that were on our itinerary. - Susan SArlington, TX107 contributionsOur afternoon tour with Fun Ships was ...FUN! We enjoyed the ride down the river in a small group. Our guides kept us entertained with commentary about the local history and local life while filling our glasses with tastings paired with chocolates. What's not to like about that?! They provided a nice finish to our tour with a souvenir glass filled with our favorite wine from the ride. If we weren't flying home, we would have shopped for wines to take with us from their store.
