Spent a full day at this wonderful art museum! Arrived at 10am ahead of a morning event so checked out the lobby art installations. Look up to enjoy a beautiful Chihuly piece in the skylight. Walked out into the sculpture courtyard featuring works by Jim Dine, Deborah Butterfield, and George Rickey, among others. Attending an enlightening Curator and Coffee talk on the Group of Eight, who are featured in the current American Realism: Visions of America 1900-1950 exhibition. A joint venture between the Flint Institute of Arts, the Kalamazoo Institute of Arts, and the Muskegon Museum of Art, the exhibition was well worth the hour we spent enjoying the art. After a delicious lunch at the FIA Cafe, sitting below a wonderful fresco mural by Flint native Hubert Massey, we walked through the FIA galleries: Indigenous peoples of North America, Chinese and Japanese, African, Italian Renaissance, European, and early American through modern and contemporary American. The Glass and Ceramic galleries contain some stunning works. After a visit to the gift shop, and a return to the cafe for an afternoon snack, we enjoyed relaxing before we headed for home. The curators and staff are friendly and helpful. Your visit to the FIA is reasonably priced (free admission on Saturday). I live an hour's drive away and visit the FIA at least once a year, sometimes two, depending on the special exhibitions or lectures.

We road the railroad. Lot of Christmas lights 40 min trip trough wooded area. Old steam engine train with staff dresses in period clothes. Lights on train made it magical. Crossroads village was decorated with 1.5 million lights. Very lovely would have been better with snow. Had the buffet which was ok as buffets go. Plenty of food. When to Frosty’s Follies. Audiotaped story of Santa frosty and the grench. Really poorly done but my 6 yo grandson loved it. Well worth going to it over the winter holidays. No clue what it is like in the summer. I think they have artists making things

Lots of variety and a nice visit. The apple cider slushie (sorry don't remember which store) hit the spot on a hot spring day!

Beautiful house and gardens and nice opportunity to learn some local history. With the house tour and stroll around the grounds, we spent about 2 hours at the estate. My teenage girls loved the visit too. I believe smaller children would enjoy the gardens. The staff is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about C.S. Mott's legacy of service to the community. Note: house tours are for groups of 5 or less at a time.

Great park. Wife and I are not much into hiking but throughly enjoyed walking through these trails. The butterfly garden had no butterflies but the swinging bridge and tree house were definitely worth the visit.

So much to do here. We went twice and would have went again but had other things to do on our agenda. Everytime the kids saw the highway signs they begged to go there again. So much to do and learn so blessed much. YOU HAVE TO GO HERE. New facility that just opened in July 2022. And the bookstore prices are very similar to local stores.

This is the largest planetarium in Michigan and it is very nice. There is a large lobby area with a nice gift shop and clean restrooms. Staff was friendly. There are photographs in the lobby and lining the walls as you enter the planetarium which are nice. Seating is very comfortable and shows are nice. Right next door is the Flint Institute of the Arts. A planetarium worth visiting!

Our geocaching group used several of the UofM Flint buildings for an event last weekend. Very nice facilities, looks like all our needs were met.

Hubby loves Vernors! Unfortunately he wasn't with me this weekend so I took a picture of the mural to share with him. So glad that this building and mural were preserved for all to see!

Beautiful home, was decorated for Christmas. All furnishing very authentic. Justin our tour guide really knew the history of home and part family played in history of this city and its industry. Very nice info to tie all the names I had heard of growing up in Flint for eighty years together. Whaley family was wonderful to this city. Flint has much to offer and this is great way to learn about its history. Very highly recommend to time to check out.

Flint Symphony Orchestra plays seasonally at this fine concert venue. Many other class acts perform including singers, dancers etc. We went to the Christmas Pops concert in December and thoroughly enjoyed it and the wonderful solo sopranos.
