The Stephen King House was our third Halloween Themed stop on our Maine Road Trip. We had done the Evans City Cemetery, Sleepy Hollow, and now the King House. We hit it about perfectly too. We got there as the sun set, so we got the full creepy factor of enough light to see the house and enough dark that it looked ominous (at least a bit). Add in the cloudy sky and dampness from an earlier rain and it was super cool.

We were there for about 15 minutes and multiple groups of people stopped for pictures at the front gate. We also walked over to the IT storm drain a few blocks away.

A most beautiful walk in nature in the city of Bangor. A trail in and around a bog on a board walk which board explenations on the pass. Take the walk in the late afternoon.

If you are a transportation, this Museum is a Must see. Excellent variety, especially the train across the back of the building.

A fantastic cemetery. A number of Stephen King connections, it was used in Pet cemetery, and the “Carrie” gravestone, meant to be the inspiration for the film. Al Brad, one of the FBI’s first Public enemy No 1’s is buried there, as is Hannibal Hamblin a former VP

The Paul Bunyan Statue was the last of our Stephen King road trip. The statue was featured in "IT 2" where it came to life. I've seen a handful of Paul Bunyan statues around the country, including Oregon and Michigan and this one is as fun as the rest, but has the creep factor of being in a horror movie.

I have been to Bangor many times before, but had never been here until this year. Through a quick google search on upcoming events around town, I learned about this place. They were showing 9 to 5 the Musical. I love musical theatre and was super excited to see this performance. The theatre was very nice and comfortable. The sound was good and the actors were great. There was a small bar set up with things for sale if desired. I didn't buy anything. They had programs for guests and the bathroom downstairs was nice. There was a couch in it and they had another bathroom upstairs. Anyone could use either washroom which was nice to help keep the lines shorter. The price was reasonable and I look forward to attending another performance on the next visit!

Nice 6500-acre preserve with hiking trails and a bog boardwalk. Bring your dog but keep it on a leash. Bring insect repellant! Also has cross-country ski trails during winter, we were told.

Even when we "won", it was 8 free spins and my winnings were under $5. At $1.50 a spin, it was a joke. Out of the 6 of us, only 1 of us ended up "up" and it wasn't anything worth mentioning. Maybe you'll have better luck.

The casino itself was on the older side. The elevator was creaky. The casino floor wasn't very grand. The high ceilings were nice, which makes it feel bigger than it is. The carpet and machines were clean.

This walk was added to our day when we found it on Tripadvisor. It was not crowded. The river views were great. It was clean. We walked the full length and back and enjoyed it. Would also be great for kids. Several people were walking dogs, but all were well-behaved.

My wife and I enjoyed this park. We were disappointed by Bangor downtown (on a Sunday morning) so gave up and went to Cascade Park. We had a picnic lunch at one of the tables provided. The fountain was working and the grounds were in good shape. Clean and quiet. Too bad it is rather small. Trees were healthy and provided much appreciated shade in the heat.
