Raven Run is a city operated park which offers so much from trail walking, to nature overlooks, overlooks to Palisades of Ky River, stream, and many wild animals to see.

There is a very beautiful formal garden, open during park hours, and the peony garden is a must-see in the spring.

My husband and I recently visited Lexington and strolled through the park reading historical plaques and most of all had a wonderful time taking pictures along with the bronze horse racing sculptures.
It makes a great entry to downtown and is the perfect counterpoint to Triangle Park.
Jacobson Park

There is a dog park, walking trails, picnic shelters, and acres and acres of Kentucky bluegrass to roam.

Legacy Trail

Exceptional morning walk on this easy, paved path that starts across from the Horse Park campground entrance, meanders through beautiful (mostly flat) farm country, and ends in the downtown area.
A wonderful bike path, make it a point, go from south terminus near ymca, ride to the Kentucky Horse Park.
