There is always many displays that are on loan from other museums being displayed throughout the year.
... of the museum gift shop, which is conveniently located at the front of the facility (not positioned strategically at an exhibit space exit to persuade visitors to spend more money like at most other art museums).

As in most museums the admission can seem steep (the King Tut exhibit and the 3D-IMax cost extra) but we thought it was worth it.

... more than 3,000 artifacts will be moved from Rock Island to an Army Depot in Anniston, Alabama, as part of an effort to account for hundreds of thousands of artifacts at dozens of Army museums across the country.
Buildings from the 1890's, a pow cemetery from the civil war, a wonderful museum that displays all the munitions and history of area.

There is some wear from use but it is a pretty clean and modern place and takes a spot ahead of similar children museums.

After visiting the John Deere Pavilion in Moline and the Rock Island Arsenal Museum on Arsenal Island, we popped in at the Colonel Davenport House, also on Arsenal Island.
If you don't take the tour, we saw later that the Arsenal Museum has a film on it....we didn't see it so I can't say for sure what it shows.
