    Review of: Berwyn Route 66 Museum
    Start your trip off right!
    We started our Rt 66 trip by driving from Lake Michigan to Woodridge, Illinois and stopped off here to buy THE EZ GUIDE for the rest of our trip. Teeny tiny museum but the gent staffing it was very engaging and truly seemed excited to send us on our way with much info and enthusiasm.

    Review of: Berwyn, IL
    Bungalow heaven and revitalization on Roosevelt Road
    The classic, working-class, bungalow neighborhood outside of Chicago. There is an older central section that has some victorians, but it is the ubiquitous brick bungalow that makes Berwyn well known, and well-suited to young families looking for solid inexpensive houses. Meanwhile, a major revitalization of the commercial district along Roosevelt Road means many great restaurants, pubs, and bars.

    Review of: Cermak Plaza Shopping Center
    At best, an average shopping center
    In some respects, the spindle of cars was this shopping center's 15 minutes (actually, 19 years) of fame. But now that the spindle has been removed, it is just a shopping center, that does nothing extraordinary. The car spindle, shown in the picture, was erected in 1989. It was a 50 foot high spike and it had eight cars. Over the years, debates ensued over whether the spindle was art, or was an eye sore. In 2000, the original owner of the mall and an art collector had died, and the new owners were not very keen on the spindle. By 2008, the eyesore proponents had won and the spindle was demolished, though the top two cars (a 1967 VW Beetle & a 1976 BMW) were saved for possible re-use in a new piece of art.

    Off Broadway is On
    Went to see a band that established themselves in the late 70’s and early 80’s; Off Broadway. This is a small, but very nice venue. You can order food up until 8:00 PM. The only downside is, finding parking

    Review of: Berwyn's Toy & Trains
    Great destination and selection of trains and models for all ages!
    Been going there for years, for my kids and for myself! Great destination for a snowy or rainy day with kids it all ages. One of best O gauge selection I’ve seen
    — but also HO, G and wooden trains. Had some vintage/antique O scale trains repaired by them. Great price on Legos, lots of hobby supplies and selection of model items and toys. Owner and staff very friendly.

    Review of: Harlem Avenue Lounge
    Great Music and crowd
    Best neighborhood place to listen to a different Blues band each time you go You can bring in snacks, or pizza, chicken, etc. There are some great food places close by. This place is a blast!

    Great Hang out spot
    Perfect place to just hang out with friends and even the whole family. They have a variety of games, nice staff, and the place is really clean as well.
