The pavilion is a part of Sportsman's Park built on an island in the middle of the Snake River right in the middle of town.
Keep an eye on younger kids since one side of the park is a cliff into the snake river.
Hell's Half Acre

Well worth a walk through the old lava flows, trails through the park and an overlook as well as the usual rest rooms.
This reminds me of teddy rosevelts park in North Dakota very unusual like another planet if you have time do see this place it's neat to look at, and it's free
Tautphaus Park

This park in Idaho Falls provides a small town feel, with expanses of lawn, picnic tables, loads of trees; there are tennis courts, a hockey arena, a carousel, and the Tatphaus Park Zoo.
There is a small, amusement park outside the zoo with a snack shack and about 5 rides and a miniature golf course as well as a large playground good for 5 to 12 year olds.
Freeman Park

Freeman Park has many areas including the Vietnam monument, picnic areas, a shelter, right on the magnificent Snake River and places to hike, walk, ride a bike or just plain relax.
Willow Creek runs through the east side of the park and is a fun place for children to wade in the cool water in the summer time.
