I love to set on the shore off the Savannah river and watch the giant cargo ships pass by on their way out to sea and the shrimp boats will park and you can always see dolphins in the water.
If you are looking for a few beach hours, lunch/dinner and maybe a tour (the Fort and Lighthouse are here) then North Beach is the first and only stop you need to make on Tybee! Park your car once, (pay $2/hr 8-8...

So many amazing beach houses are available, and with a strong emphasis on preserving the local nature they have kept this beach simply lovely.
Set in a National Park and designated University of Georgia environmental education site, you can expect plenty of wildlife spotting.

The parking was easy, and there was a very nice nature center right in the parking lot by the beach.
You will need to pay to park unless you are staying on the beach.

Can go onto Alley 3 off 17th to park then walk down to watch the sunset BUT stay at least 30 minutes after sunset for the "HUES"....color amazing across the sky after sunset.
