We found the Bushey trail to be a nice easy hike, along the river, with plenty of opportunities for nature related photography.
Several trails are located within the park including a trail that parallels the Potomac River and a Wildlife Habitat Trail.

I love to hike and take long walks and this park has miles and miles of trails, both quiet scenic trails, and more challenging and heavily traveled trails for mountain bikes.
Prince William Forest Park is a National Treasure hidden right down the road from DC. Terrific place to hike, ride bicycles, or run.

This park has camping, picnic area, a water park for summer use, playgrounds, Civil War history, as well as horseback riding and hiking.
The park has some very nice wide open spaces and a few pavilions that are available for reservation for things like family gatherings, birthdays, picnics, etc.

Perfect family park featuring: play grounds, pavilions, kiddie train ride, merry-go-round, frisbee golf, canoes, a 4.7 mile walking/biking trail around the lake.
On the day I went, my dog had an opportunity to fully explore nature, meet some friendly trail mates, and see some things for the first time-- bikers, geese, and a huge lake.

The eagles nests block 1/3 of the Park from walking traffic so plan to do a lot of extra walking and take extra water.

We came here for a wedding reception BBQ and this park was the perfect location for it.
