What travellers are saying
- gruenschwarz15 contributionsExcellent collection of art, especially early works by Dali. The 360° show & way the guide groups - not that stunning. All in all still worth visiting for art lovers.Written 29 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jaybeeFLPalm Harbor, FL3,445 contributionsSpectacular sight during sunrise and sunset---the sun's reflection makes the structure appear to be a bright golden color displaying a beautiful contrast with the rich blue waters of Tampa Bay. It can be distracting so pay close attention to your driving as winds and traffic pose a distinct danger!Written 4 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dennis FFort Myers, FL364 contributionsWe've been to many botanical gardens both in the US and other countries. But we were amazed at how extensive and appealing this place turned out to be. It's not the biggest but it's one of the best. If you are in the area, be sure to check it out. It only takes about an hour and you will be delighted. We plan to return. It's that good.Written 10 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- drsmorejonOrmond Beach, FL13 contributionsIf you love glass (and even if you don’t), this is a don’t miss collection. Tie a visit together with a visit to the Morean Art Center across the street where you can watch a glass blowing demonstration by local artist.Written 20 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Toni TNashville, TN3,151 contributionsThis downtown area is full of eateries of all kinds, banks, scooter rentals, bars, cigar bars, waterfront activities, trolleys, museums, grocery, speciality shoppes, dance places, live music, parks, and so many things to do amid on-going construction. The area is walkable, with street parking. Most street parking is pay by app, although you look for some free 2 hour parking spots. Paid garage parking. Enjoy walks through the park, through the bustling night life, shoppes, and museums. Luckily, the weather allows outdoor activity all year long.
Although the beach is about 7 miles away, the St Pete Pier offers a small beachfront access.

- Melinda DEnglewood, NJ343 contributionsSo I kinda liked this older, smaller, no frills stadium. Great seats! Great parking and a pretty good team. Liked the vibe of the fans and on field entertainment. Felt like old fashioned baseball. Enjoy seeing one of the last games of the season. Low tech where the baseball was the starWritten 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ARTJPLLondon, UK363 contributionsUnfortunately, timing of visit meant could only visit on the weekend when it wasn’t possible to view production. You do get to see a video before the wine tasting. Amazing to see (and sample) so many varieties. Staff are friendly, helpful and pleasant.Written 6 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Schneider231Cincinnati136 contributionsNice park for a walk. Flat terrain. Paths could be marked better. Had an aviary with injured birds including a bald eagle. $3 admission. We went in Feb saw a few birdsWritten 8 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SootsgdWimauma, FL3,325 contributionsVisted the museum on a Sunday in April. St Pete is known for its sunshine and this was a beautiful day. The museum is in a great location in Downtown adjacent to the Pier and other points of interest. Parking is available in the rather small lot on site. It’s $10 to park but if you have an ADA placard or plate it’s free. There is no mention of this when you pull in so unfortunately I paid when I didn’t have to. Just park the attendants will notice your ADA status.
There are memberships to the museum but My wife and I have memberships at The Ringling and the Dalí museums so I just paid for myself since my wife didn’t accompany me this visit.
There are several different galleries to view for all of the genres they have including a courtyard with some statuary. There is also an onsite cafe and gift shop. Not much on the second floor but there is enough on the first floor to keep your interest. I noticed someone saying you could get by with 30-60 minutes. I don’t believe this person to be an art patron because you can spend 2 hours or possibly more in appreciating what is in their collections. It certainly isn’t the largest Museum but if you love art it will hold your attention. I probably spent 2 hours on site and could have spent more if I wanted to.
I bought a few postcards at the museum but they had other items to offer. The cafe closed early on Sunday so I can’t speak to it.
All of the employees I met were friendly. There are docents that provide guided tours. Check the website or call for that information.A nice place to visit if you are in the neighborhood. Definitely a recommend.Written 7 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There is a well maintained boardwalk from which one can be immersed in a natural Floridian habitat. Walk to the tower to get a panoramic view of the area. Birds such as blue herons and darters can be seen as well reptiles including soft-shell turtles and of course alligators are present although I personally did not see any gators. There are plenty of joggers and walkers as well as sightseers. Unfortunately the water fountain was out of order so bring plenty of water.Written 13 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Joni PAtlanta, GA253 contributionsLots to see with beautiful vegetables, honey, meat, and crafts for sale. Purses, clothes, soaps, jewelry, all one of a kind are displayed for sale. The food offerings are amazing--knishes, empanadas, and other exotic fare. Fun!Written 17 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
