- 373terriewEllenwood, GA6 contributionsSugar Mill gardens is a great place to walk around and see how volunteer gardeners have transformed a former (historical) sugar mill into many beautiful gardens, each with their own theme. There is also an area just for children. They do sell plants and honey, so make sure to take some cash with you. This is also a "hiding" area for the painting rock group named Volusia County Rocks (VCR).Written 13 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Christina RMadison, AL3 contributionsTwo hour kayak rental for group of six. Saw great blue heron multiple times, an owl, alligators, salt water mullet jumping the entire trip, turles and air plants. Unspoiled natural area to enjoy an old Florida feeling. Staff were friendly and helpful. Affordable pricing. We enjoyed the paddle very much!Written 3 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - PhoneciaDeltona, FL832 contributionsThere is a pavilion and a playground for kids in one section of it. There is a kayak ramp a little further down with parking areas. There is a long wooden walkway to two covered seating areas where you can fish and enjoy the cool breeze. I really enjoyed the time we spent here! We didn’t use the pavilion or hiking areas but they seemed nice. I was more interested in the area near the water. I liked the birds and got a chance to see a small stingray of some type. It was exciting to watch it eat. Come by and relax!Written 10 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Floridalynn28Port Orange, FL61 contributionsI love this park and walk there all the time. It is beautiful, well maintained with friendly other walkers. The birds are plentiful and there are jumping fish in the lake, I bring turtle food with me and they come swimming up to be fed. We are so lucky to have this serene park in Port Orange.Written 22 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HpryanPonce Inlet, FL102 contributionsPonce Inlet is a quiet beachside town. This preserve is a nice walkway out to the river. There are three little areas besides the lighthouse park where you can wonder through preserves and end up at the river or the beach.
Good for a stroll or bike ride. Fishing is also possible.Written 2 October 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The trails here are well kept, but somewhat poorly marked, with markers being knocked over. I did not see much wildlife, but enjoyed the peace and quiet of the trail. It put me in a happy place though.Written 12 February 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- okheirDaytona Beach, FL64 contributionsthe new decking is in, the perfect spot to take a picture when heading home from the beach - as locals, we often launched the jet ski there and had picnic lunches while our friends fished - a quite to stand up paddle board or kayak - very close to Aunt Catfish'sWritten 5 November 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BeachcomberTDaytona Beach, FL104 contributionsI am a gay guy who is a member of a different church, but I frequently aftend PO UCC as my neighborhood home-away-from-home. I have found the congregation to be very friendly and supportive and not at all homophobic. They recently had a gay interim pastor for more than a year, and I think he helped to open minds and hearts. I also admire the fact that developmentally challenged kids get a lot of support from church members. And their adult Sunday schhol is excellent.Written 4 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Michelle MOrlando, FL48 contributionsWe booked a weekend stay for our daughter's 16th birthday at Chantilly Ridge Farm in Port Orange, FL. She loves Alpacas and was thrilled with the experience. The owners, Fran and Vern were the most gracious hosts and even surprised us with cupcakes and ice cream after dinner as a surprise. All three girls (ages 7, 16, 18) has a blast! We all enjoyed gathering chicken eggs for breakfast, feeding Alpacas by hand, watching Fran weave an Alpaca blanket, and helping Vern place hay in the chicken pens. Our bedrooms were beautifully decorated with the "farm house charm." Wi-if was available in the home but we all had more fun playing board games and gathering in the kitchen for a delicious home made breakfast made by Fran. If you are looking for a place to relax, connect with nature, and re-connect with family...then book a stay with Fran and Vern at Chantilly Alpaca Farm in Port Orange, FL. Before departing, we had the opportunity to purchase some of the amazing hand made items crafted by Fran and Vern. We purchases gorgeous Alpaca shaws, finger puppets, scarfs and even goat milk soap! Fran also offers classes on how to make the soap and weave the Alpaca fur.Written 10 July 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
