The baby alligator at Gator Lake was a treat and was showing off for us. - Excursion356738807516 contributionsBeautiful island. The shuttle was fun, safe and the captain Carla and 1st mate made it a great trip. You get dropped off right on the beach. You have a choice of when to return up til 4 pm. The sand was the whitest I've ever seen and even though the surf was a little rough there were plenty of shells to be had on land. Employees are really good and enforce the rules and keep our kids safe, soemthing I really appreciate as a mother. We already renewed for next season, can't wait to see what they add. - Savannah B1 contributionI went with my parents after the beach we were on closed due to multiple shark attacks, and we needed something to do. My dad saw this place and we though we'd give it a try. It may not look as grand as places like SeaWorld for the Gulfarium, but it's still amazing in its own way. It's old, but clean. There were plenty of people there, and the parking lot was kind of small but if you get there early it doesn't matter, although I wouldn't recommend going if you have a large vehicle, it's a tight squeeze. The shows were all free and very good quality, all the animals had big personalities, and you could tell the keepers really cared about the animals. We got to see so many animals so much closer than usual! For the Sealion show, they brought out a big boy names Easton who they explained was born at SeaWorld Orlando. If they'd let me, I could've reached out and touched him he was that close! I can't even explain it, but it was awesome. It doesn't look that big at a glance but there is actually a lot to see. She just recently bought it and said give her a year and we won’t recognize it. She said the previous owners had moved away and let the staff do whatever they wanted. It was sad to see how run down it had gotten. Clean very friendly and although small everyone had fun …. Age 2 to 11. The staff was most helpful and friendly including Aiden on our last ride …. There are many trails and several wooden walkways over the swampy areas. There are clean restrooms and a large gazebo for meetings and picnicking. Those folks hoping to see an abundance of wildlife will be sorely disappointed. While there are some birds, crickets, and frogs, there are few other animals that you will encounter.
