Sunset Park Beach Key Colony Beach
#134 of 877 Outdoor Activities in Florida Keys
With so few beaches given the keys are only a 1/2 mile wide, this is a tiny hidden treasure.
Perfectly named, Sunset Park Beach is the perfect place to catch the sun set in the evening.

A bit skeptical, when we arrived we saw some of the Irma damage, but a bit further, we saw one of the nicest beaches I have seen.

Higgs Beach Key West
#268 of 877 Outdoor Activities in Florida Keys
ALL of the beaches in Key West are beautiful and easily accessible by bike, car, or even walking (depending on where you stay).
One of a few beaches in Key West, Higgs beach has a cabana bar formyour thirsty needds and plently of watersports rentals.
Smathers Beach Key West
#270 of 877 Outdoor Activities in Florida Keys
LOVED that we could park for free and enjoy the beach, free parking is hard to find in Key West but all of the beaches we visited on the Atlantic side had free parking!
Out of all the Key West beaches, Smathers is definitely the best one as defined by size, white sand, cleanliness and rest room facilities.

Simonton Street Beach Key West
#373 of 877 Outdoor Activities in Florida Keys
Less rocks & seaweed than other beaches we visited on Key West.
Simonton Street Beach is a wonderful, beautiful small beach at the end of Simonton Street.
Calusa Beach Big Pine Key
#414 of 877 Outdoor Activities in Florida Keys
All the sand on the Atlantic side has been washed away but Calusa Beach is still intact and we really enjoyed this beach, very safe especially if you have little children.
It is a smaller beach so it can get crowded during the winter and on holiday weekends.
Coco Plum Beach Marathon
#584 of 877 Outdoor Activities in Florida Keys
It's one of the few beaches in the Keys
Perfect if you have a pet as it is a pet friendly beach and your dogs will have plenty of room to run, swim, etc.
Long Beach Big Pine Key
#591 of 877 Outdoor Activities in Florida Keys
Long Beach is a beautiful area of Big Pine Key.
In time the foliage will return but the beach area is drastically different.
Dog Beach Key West
#603 of 877 Outdoor Activities in Florida Keys
This beach is very popular with dog owners as there are only a few beaches in Key West where you can take your dog for a swim.
Tiny beach space, is the smallest beach I've ever seen!!
