Lovely stroll after dinner. We browsed the art galleries - all different do sure to find something to discuss and debate - and window shopped and picked restaurants for rest of the week.

Everything about Bonnet House is delightful, from the buildings to grounds, the art, and the staff.

My tour started when I was greeted by-name in the parking lot and was escorted to a waiting golf cart to take me to the house. There, I met, Sid, the docent leading my tour - one of the best for guides I've ever had.

Sid was amazing - knowledgeable, patient, good humored and thoughtful. And everyone I met on-staff was the same.
The tour starts with a short video overview of the family who built it, their love of art, and their winter get-away in Fort Lauderdale.

Then, you get to see it in all its whimsical splendor - beautiful art, gardens, architecture and hear the stories of the family members. After your tour, you are free to stay and wander back through the house and grounds, at your leisure.

The staff clearly loves Bonnet house and its history, and they love to share it. My 1.5 hour tour, followed by the totally-worth-it $5 add-on grounds tour with the also-phenomenal Rick has been a highlight of my trip to Ft Lauderdale.

If you love art, natural beauty, and a fun tour, Bonnet is a must-do!

The historical society is comprised of a few buildings, although only one is open to the public. It contains a film about the history of the area as well as a few comprehensive exhibits. The staff I encountered were extremely friendly. Recommended for history buffs such as myself.

It was very interesting to learn about this place. Bonnet House is so different. Our tourguide did a great job. We especially loved seeing the Dade pine.

Unknowingly arrived during Spring Break. Beach was very busy, however police presence was abundant. I did not feel unsafe at any time.

Water taxi was very informative and had a great time getting off and eating/drinking.
My wife and I also went parasailing, with So Flo parasailing. They were great!
Favorite place to eat while we were there was Coconuts! Fantastic food! Rocco’s Tacos was very good also!
