The Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park just south of Crystal River is where the rehabilitated rescued manatees, wolves, birds, Florida panthers, and other rescued wildlife are located.
Walking through the park we were able to view all kinds of wildlife from Florida, bears, panther, foxes, snakes, birds, manatees that are being rehabilitated, and Lu the hippo.

Take a tram from city hall and your trasformed into a nature setting with crystal clear blue srpings, wild birds, a clean, shaded boardwalk and sometimes an unbeliveable amount of manatees to watch.
After researching charts we kayaked from Kings Bay park which had great kayak launchers which made getting underway and disembarking later much easier.

There is a spot you can unload your kayak and go back and park either in a spot or at your campsite.
