Such a sweet hidden distillery. Made from 100% Florida supplies in the whiskey. Everything is absolutely gorgeous, would love to get married there. Immaculately clean and pristine grounds. Only pointer would maybe have more signage because we ambled around for 10+ minutes before someone spoke to us and how the tour worked. Purchased rum to offset tour costs. Just a joy!

Beautiful terrain, forest types from basic swamp type to old oaks lining the roads. Loved the differences within a few feet from each other.

We saw the sign in Brooksville and decided to find the winery. The wines were very good (sweet) and had interesting stories. If you like dry wines, then this would not be the place for you. Would have liked to learn more about the winery and wines but a large group came in right behind us and owner (one of the brothers, if I remember correctly) was working alone so kind of rushed through everything. Sounds like an interesting place for a Friday/Saturday evening with entertainment and food trucks.

How do I even begin? Nice people. Pretty much everything you can imagine rolled into one. Restaurant, gift shop, ice cream parlor, freak museum, dinosaur park, golf course, art gallery, zoo, aquarium, bird sanctuary, reptiles, antiques….Not sure what to call some if it. It’s like they tried so hard but it’s a hot mess. Confusing. No signs to tell you what anything is. Much of it is dark and dirty. Many “exhibits” are empty and the aquarium fish are less than you’d see in a pet shop. Golf looks interesting but almost impossible to play or even follow the course. We gave up. Many animals seem fine but some looked sick, especially some of the parrots. The paths are just a broken mishmash leaving you feeling lost and unsure of where to go. Again, the people are friendly and it was interesting on a weird level but…. Wow. Scale it back and do half that much well?

Our tour guide was Garry Moore. He was extremely knowledgeable and excellent in taking us through the house. He knew quite a bit about the families and the history of the property as well as the state of Florida. Then during a thunderstorm which kept us on the front porch, we spoke to two of the other docents who were as well informed as Garry was. Because it was late in the afternoon and raining we didn't get to walk the grounds. I can't wait to go back and do that as well as ponder some of the books and history that could be found in the gift shop. I totally awesome experience I would recommend to everyone.

Read about this place in a December 2019 Tampa Bay Times article, so we just had to visit. Knowledgeable docents walk you through all the rooms and give you ample time to ask questions about each room. If you’re in to paranormal activities, a night tour is available to search for the ghosts that are said to haunt the place!
It was well worth the drive from Tampa and I’d suggest a side trip to the NJoy Spirits Distillery to round out the day!

We were in Brooksville to get our second Covid shot and wanted to get a little exercise before lunch and the shot. I found this park on Tripadvisor and thought we would give it a shot There is a nice paved trail that meanders around a pond and a nice tree lined area. We extended our walk by going to the end of the trail and walking on an old golf course that had a paved loop of about one mile. It was hilly but very nice. This was perfect for a short walk.

I just moved here from Texas. My husband and I wanted to take a short hike here after lunch. We drove in and immediately were followed by a red toyota truck down the path. We stopped at the boat ramp and took a few pics but the truck also stopped and lingered just out of our sight. We drove on around and the truck followed. We stopped near the entry/exit but decided to skip the hike out of concern for being followed. If this was a park employee or volunteer I feel they should have made an introduction to let us know we were safe. Being we were the only visitors there at the time. The park itself was beautiful and we would love to come back. It was very peaceful and well shaded and looked like a perfect place for a family outing.
