At the end of the first day we were brought to an unfinished hostel. But after the calls, the manager was taken to another. The next day, the car rushed along the bumps and almost fell apart. The driver tried to put some of his friend in our car. One of us was very very bad. In the jeep on which we rode there was no oxygen mask and no medicine. In the jeep, other travel companies that came to the hostel after us, there was everything and an oxygen mask too. But the driver who drove us said to a colleague that he would give us a little breathing oxygen mask, but for $ 30. Drivers of other companies, like their tourists, tried to help our patient. But this one was absolutely indifferent and was thinking of leaving us !!! If it weren’t for other drivers and tourists, he would certainly have done so. The driver tried to throw us faster to the border in Chile. At the border, he told the officer to say that there are no more buses in Chile, but they can send us to Chile for $ 200. It was a lie and a lie. After 20 minutes, the bus arrived and we drove to Chile for 70 bolivars. In addition, the driver stole our products. He is a dishonest and dishonorable person. Replay Tours is the most terrible company of those that we have seen in our life, if we can afford to have such a disgusting, dirty and mediocre driver and car.

Travelled from Potosi to Sucre. Trip took 3.5 hours. Bus was certainly not luxurious, comfortable seats but narrow with little legroom. For the first 45 minutes, we had a salesman with a microphone at the front of the bus, flogging magnesium supplements - who let him do this? Who got paid?

Amazing reflections on the salar and a brilliant orange sunset. The sun creeping slowly below the horizon. Catered to by Hidalgo Tours, nothing to do but sit back sipping a glass of shiraz, nibbling olives, cheese and nuts, and admiring the beauty

I first met Renan virtually during the pandemic. I followed him as he showcased highlights of Bolivia on the (now defunct) website, HeyGo. When I was ready to travel internationally again in NOvember 2023, I reached out to Renan to ask for a custom tour. No problem, he said. He took me on a tour of the La Paz General Cemetery as well as the Natitas festival. He then took my husband and I to Lake Titicaca and Sucre. Renan speaks English very well. At all times, he took into consideration the altitude struggles my husband and I endured, keeping a slow pace and bringing along hiking poles for us to use while ascending Isla del Sol. He was also very flexible: while in Sucre, we asked him to take us to the circus, and he arranged it all! When you travel with Renan, know you're in safe hands, as well as with an empathetic guide who has a deep cultural understanding and love for Bolivia.

Frans took good care of us and made sure we had a good time. The drives felt safe, and the accomodations answered to our expectations.

Thank you for a wonderful day! We chose a 5-hours horseback ride. The lady at the agency is adorable. And our guide during the ride was very kind, patient and communicative. He adapted his pace to the riders' level. The horses are beautiful and quiet. Agency to recommend :-)

WARNING - extremely dangerous driving. I caught an overnight bus from Uyuni to Sucre. The bus driver drove extremely fast the whole way, with tires screeching around some corners. I genuinely felt unsafe and am surprised the bus didn't roll over. I doubt anyone managed to sleep due to being thrown around the whole time.

I will never forget my time of on the flats.

It’s an out of body experience - like being in the snow.

The colours, the vista - sublime.

It’s fun to take pictures playing with perspective and just being in such an expanse of space. You can go miles without seeing another group.

    Pure perfection.

We used Andean Way services for a 3-day private tour: the first day from Atacama to Uyuni, the second day in Salar des Uyuni, and the third day from Uyuni back to Atacama. Overall, we were highly satisfied with the company's services, experiencing excellent service throughout our time in Bolivia.

    Positives:

We had a private car with a driver and guide. Though the car wasn't brand new, it was comfortable. The driver, despite not speaking English, was exceptionally kind and friendly. Our guide was outstanding, knowledgeable about various subjects, and kept us entertained with intriguing stories about life in Bolivia.
Each day, we enjoyed lovely home-cooked lunches. Despite an episode where we ran out of gas 2 hours before reaching Uyuni, causing a delay as there were no gas stations nearby, our guide and driver handled the situation very well.

    Minus:

Our decision not to spend an extra night en route between Atacama and Uyuni proved to be challenging. Opting for a 3-day round trip was a mistake, given the long and difficult journey, including high altitudes and poor road conditions. In hindsight, staying overnight midway on a first day tour and then flying from Uyuni to La Paz on the final day would have been preferable. The journey to Uyuni took 15 hours, which was excessively long for a single day, despite stops to view national wonders. The return trip took 9 hours, even with the shortest route."
