When I headed towards the door, my wife questioned my sanity and decision making ability. Once she got inside and SAW this carousel, she was awe struck. At ONLY $3 per ride, you MUST give it a try! Adults as well as children will enjoy this ride. The animals are all hand carved. Decorations on the top rail of the carousel are another surprise. The music is a real organ playing the tunes. You WILL leave with a smile on your face!

One of my favorite hikes. Easy, beautiful, and historical. Once the path of a tourist train, then a destination for rock n rollers, including Elton John, Joe Walsh, Billy Joel, Michael Jackson, Chicago and lots more who recorded at the recording studio that burned in the 1980s. Just make sure it's open as it often closes to protect the environment and wildlife.

I took a nice motorcycle ride on a hot and sunny day from Denver and what a nice oasis VNBC is. Both inside and outside seating and a very nice beer selection awaits you with a friendly staff.

We went to Woodland Lake with our four kids under 11 and our dog. We absolutely loved it. It was so hard to leave. August turned out to be a great time of year for it. Mosquitoes weren’t bad. We went in on a Thursday had the lake to ourselves.

Lift operator at alpenglow was horrible. The gates and sensors were not working so lines got all jacked up and instead of calmly correcting the situation. She was yelling and losing her mind. It was nobody’s fault! Patrons pay a sh** ton of $ to ski and to be treated like a child is ridiculous. This woman, I wish I had gotten her name, should NOT be a ski lift operator! She was there Saturday 12/9 manning the lift! We never ski Eldora, usually go to the big mountains with our Ikon and this makes me never want to go back.

Passing through Nederland, the museum is convenient to stop in for a tour of the gold, silver and tungsten eras in the area. The displays are interesting and unusual in some cases. The docent is a geologist who knows mining inside and out and brings the mining equipment and materials to life with stories and demonstrations. More than worth a stop and visit if you’re in the area. There’s even an antique bar that was rescued from a long gone area saloon! Even if mining isn’t your thing, this is a cool place.

Great trail and bathrooms! Beautiful area! Took our dog and had a wonderful time. It was snowy and cold but the lake was worth it!

Rainbow Lakes is on the peak-to-peak highway and is a nice place to camp or day visit and soak up nature in a serene setting.

I stumbled upon this attraction merely by accident. I was in the mood for a drive up the canyon, and when I got to the city, I looked to see if there was anything to do. Wow. This is a destination attraction. The people there were extremely friendly, and I feel like I was transported back a century while riding on the carousel. I will definitely be back and I will tell people about this place. I really enjoyed the experience.

We did a whole day in town during our vacation, and we had to check this place out. And you should too, because after all, it is free, so you have nothing to lose! They have a very small insect "zoo" as they call it, but you can check them out in their habitats. I think one was even a crawfish, and a big one at that! They have some displays about local wildlife, including bones/furs/skeletons. They have an area for arts and crafts for kids, a bathroom, and some merchandise/gifts too. We also went and hiked at Mud Lake, and Wild Bear Nature Center has a building there as well that I believe they offer classes at during select times - otherwise that building is off limits. Like I said, it is free, so why not stop in and get some information about the area you are in!

Wasn't here for the extravaganza, but wished we could have been. Intriguing. He is on someone's private property, but there is a place in town that tells all about him. Ask any native!
