Hiwan Homestead Museum
#1 of 6 Museums in Evergreen
The history of the museum is memorable... this was a huge cattle ranch... in the original ranchhouse... there is a small chapel upstairs... can only imagine the world they lived in before the ease of travelling in...
It is also a living museum - there are days where the historic kitchen is used to make refreshments for visitors, school classes meet in the old 'classroom' for a lesson, and more.

Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum Golden 15.5 km away
#1 of 10 Museums in Golden
For a free attraction tucked away on a quiet college campus, this place's geology and gem exhibits are very impressive - comparable with some of the largest natural history museums in the country.
One of the best geology museums I have been to.
