- RoverPInverness, UK797 contributionsExcellent visitor centre and Museum for which you will need to spend at least 30 minutes. There is then an easy paved path up to the Escalante Pueblo ruins and a view of the of the reservoir and surrounding area.
The path has boards with information on the various plants that were important to the Pueblo people. Bathroom facilities available for guests & plenty of temporary parking & a boat launch with rig parking. - NewsByScottPhoenix, AZ324 contributions8 miles one way on a fairly good gravel road leads you to the only geyser in Colorado. It is a pretty easy hike considering the elevation. We hiked on a sunny late September morning and the colors on the drive and the hike were breathtaking. Once we were done we continued on that dirt road for maybe another 12 miles on our way to Telluride.
